According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

This agrees with what the Lord has said. When the Lord comes, many of us will still be alive. We tell you that we will certainly not go up before those who have died.

For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.

We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died.

我們知道，使主耶穌復活的上帝必使我們與耶穌一同復活，並且使我們和你們一起站在祂面前。

耶和華啊，我向你呼求，我在清晨向你禱告。

天不亮，我就起來呼求你的幫助，你的話語是我的盼望。我整夜不睡，思想你的應許。

我們主耶穌再來的時候，我們在祂面前的盼望、喜樂和可誇耀的冠冕是什麼呢？不就是你們嗎？

因為耶和華吩咐我不可在這裡用飯喝水，也不可原路返回。」老先知就說：「我也是先知，和你一樣。耶和華派天使來吩咐我帶你到我家吃飯喝水。」

眾先知中有一位奉耶和華的命令對他的同伴說：「你打我吧！」同伴卻不肯動手。

彼得說「納！」他進了屋，還沒開口，耶穌便問他：「西門，你有何看法？世上的君王向誰徵收賦稅？向自己的兒子呢，還是向外人呢？」

誰給過我什麼，要我償還？天下萬物都是我的。

米該雅回答說：「我憑永活的耶和華起誓，耶和華對我說什麼，我就說什麼。」

竟然在祂禁止你吃喝的地方吃飯喝水，因此你的屍體必不得安葬在你的祖墳裡。」
