For what thanks can we render to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sake before our God,

For what thanksgiving can we render again unto God for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;

How can we thank God for you in return for all the joy we experience before our God because of you,

Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith.For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord. (niv)

For what is our hope, our joy, or the crown in which we will glory in the presence of our Lord Jesus when he comes? Is it not you? (niv)

Then King David went in and sat before the Lord, and he said:“ Who am I, Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?And as if this were not enough in your sight, Sovereign Lord, you have also spoken about the future of the house of your servant— and this decree, Sovereign Lord, is for a mere human!“ What more can David say to you? And the Levites— Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah— said:“ Stand up and praise the Lord your God, who is from everlasting to everlasting.”“ Blessed be your glorious name, and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise. (niv)

But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful. (niv)

David said to Michal,“ It was before the Lord, who chose me rather than your father or anyone from his house when he appointed me ruler over the Lord’s people Israel— I will celebrate before the Lord. (niv)

But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. (niv)
