耶和華對撒母耳說：「你就聽從民眾對你說的一切話。其實他們不是厭棄你，而是厭棄我作他們的王。

耶和華諭之曰、凡民所言、爾可從之、彼非棄爾、乃棄我也、不欲我為其王、

耶和華諭之曰、可從民言、彼不第棄爾、乃亦棄我、不欲我治理之。

主諭撒母耳曰、民向爾所言、爾惟從之、彼非棄爾、乃棄我、不欲我為其王、

And the Lord told him:“ Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king.

The Lord told him,“ Listen to everything the people are saying to you. You are not the one they have turned their backs on. I am the one they do not want as their king.

And the Lord said to Samuel,“ Obey the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected me from being king over them.

“ Do everything they say to you,” the Lord replied,“ for they are rejecting me, not you. They don’t want me to be their king any longer.

But the LORD told him,“ Listen to the people and everything they say to you. They have not rejected you; they have rejected me as their king.

And the Lord said to Samuel,“ Listen to the voice of the people regarding all that they say to you, because they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being King over them.

And the Lord said to Samuel,“ Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me, that I should not reign over them.

And Jehovah said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee; for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not be king over them.

But the Lord told him,“ Listen to the people and everything they say to you. They have not rejected you; they have rejected Me as their king.

The LORD said to Samuel,“ Do everything the people request of you. For it is not you that they have rejected, but it is me that they have rejected as their king.

你們今日卻厭棄了救你們脫離一切災難的神，說：『求你立一個王治理我們。』現在你們應當按着支派、宗族都站在耶和華面前。」 (cunpt)

摩西又說：「耶和華晚上必給你們肉吃，早晨必給你們食物得飽；因為你們向耶和華發的怨言，他都聽見了。我們算甚麼，你們的怨言不是向我們發的，乃是向耶和華發的。」 (cunpt)

「人接待你們就是接待我；接待我就是接待那差我來的。 (cunpt)

又對門徒說：「聽從你們的就是聽從我；棄絕你們的就是棄絕我；棄絕我的就是棄絕那差我來的。」 (cunpt)

你曾求我說：給我立王和首領。現在你的王在哪裏呢？治理你的在哪裏呢？讓他在你所有的城中拯救你吧！我在怒氣中將王賜你，又在烈怒中將王廢去。 (cunpt)

他本國的人卻恨他，打發使者隨後去，說：『我們不願意這個人作我們的王。』 (cunpt)

至於我那些仇敵，不要我作他們王的，把他們拉來，在我面前殺了吧！』」 (cunpt)

當夜，神臨到巴蘭那裏，說：「這些人若來召你，你就起來同他們去，你只要遵行我對你所說的話。」 (cunpt)

無奈，我的民不聽我的聲音；以色列全不理我。我便任憑他們心裏剛硬，隨自己的計謀而行。 (cunpt)

你們要記念我從前對你們所說的話：『僕人不能大於主人。』他們若逼迫了我，也要逼迫你們；若遵守了我的話，也要遵守你們的話。但他們因我的名要向你們行這一切的事，因為他們不認識那差我來的。 (cunpt)

我也必揀選迷惑他們的事，使他們所懼怕的臨到他們；因為我呼喚，無人答應；我說話，他們不聽從；反倒行我眼中看為惡的，揀選我所不喜悅的。 (cunpt)

這不是割麥子的時候嗎？我求告耶和華，他必打雷降雨，使你們又知道又看出，你們求立王的事是在耶和華面前犯大罪了。」於是撒母耳求告耶和華，耶和華就在這日打雷降雨，眾民便甚懼怕耶和華和撒母耳。眾民對撒母耳說：「求你為僕人們禱告耶和華－你的神，免得我們死亡；因為我們求立王的事正是罪上加罪了。」 (cunpt)

我實實在在地告訴你們，僕人不能大於主人，差人也不能大於差他的人。 (cunpt)

學生不能高過先生；僕人不能高過主人。學生和先生一樣，僕人和主人一樣，也就罷了。人既罵家主是別西卜，何況他的家人呢？」 (cunpt)
