你們的心為甚麼固執、像埃及人和法老那樣固執呢？上帝作弄了埃及人，埃及人不是還要把以色列人放走麼？

你們為什麼心裡剛硬，像埃及人和法老那樣心裡剛硬呢？當神折辱他們的時候，他們不是放走了以色列人嗎？以色列人不是離開了嗎？

何剛愎乃心、如埃及人與法老之剛愎乎、上帝行奇事於其間、彼豈非釋其民、使之往乎、

何剛愎乃心、效埃及人與法老所為乎。彼不釋以色列族、待降異災而後可。

Why do you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh did? When Israel’s god dealt harshly with them, did they not send the Israelites out so they could go on their way?

Why are you stubborn, as Pharaoh and the people of Egypt were? Israel’s god was very hard on them. Only then did they send the Israelites out. Only then did they let them go on their way.

我呢，你看吧，我要使埃及人的心頑強，他們就會跟着下去；我必在法老身上、在他的全軍、車輛和馬兵上得到榮耀。

法老見災禍平息了，心又固執起來，不聽摩西、亞倫，正如永恆主所說的。

法老心裏頑強，不聽摩西、亞倫，正如永恆主所說的。

法老見雨跟冰雹和雷都停止了，就越發犯罪，心又固執，他和他的臣僕都這樣固執。

摩西、亞倫就進去見法老，對他說：『永恆主希伯來人的上帝這麼說：「你不肯在我面前自己謙卑、要到幾時呢？讓我的人民走吧，他們好事奉我。

這一次法老的心又固執，不讓人民走。

埃及人直追趕着：法老所有的馬匹和車輛馬兵、都跟着以色列人下海中去。

他心裏有智慧，並且能力強大；誰向上帝強硬、還得安全呢？

你們總要趁着還有叫做「今日」的時候、天天彼此鼓勵，免得你們中間有人因了罪惡之誘惑而變剛愎。（

然而我還讓你存立，正為的是要向你彰顯我的大能力，並傳揚我的名於全地。

然而你竟依順你的剛愎和不悔改的心、為自己積聚着上帝的義怒、於上帝義怒的日子，就是上帝公義的刑罰顯示出來的日子；

不可硬着心，像在米利巴，在曠野瑪撒的日子。

萬族之民聽見就戰抖，慘痛抓住了非利士的居民。那時以東的族系長驚惶，摩押的權貴被戰兢抓住，迦南的居民都震撼搖動：恐怖震懾襲擊了他們。永恆主啊，因你膀臂之大能力，他們竟如石頭寂然不動，等你的人民過去，等你所獲得的人民過去。

夜裏、法老把摩西、亞倫召了來，說：『起來，從我人民中間出去：你們和以色列人都出去，依你們所說的、去事奉永恆主；也依你們所說的、連羊羣牛羣都帶走；並且要給我祝福。』埃及人催促以色列民，打發他們趕快離開埃及地，因為埃及人說：『我們都快要死了。』
