They replied,“ If you are going to send the ark of the God of Israel back, don’t send it away empty. Be sure to return it with a guilt offering. Then you will be healed, and you will understand why his hand is not removed from you.”

他们答道：“你们若把以色列上帝的约柜送回去，不可空手送去，一定要向他献上赔罪的礼物，这样你们就可以得到医治，也可以知道他为什么惩罚你们。”

他们回答：“你们把以色列神的约柜送回去的时候，不可空空地把它送回去，却要偿还赔罪的礼物，这样，你们就可以得着医治，也可以知道，为什么他的手没有离开你们。”

他们回答：“如果你们要送回以色列神的约柜，不要空手送回，一定要把赔罪的礼物带给以色列的神。这样你们就可以痊愈，也知道为什么他的手不离开你们。”

他們說：「若要將以色列神的約櫃送回去，不可空空地送去，必要給他獻賠罪的禮物，然後你們可得痊癒，並知道他的手為何不離開你們。」

他們答道：「你們若把以色列上帝的約櫃送回去，不可空手送去，一定要向他獻上賠罪的禮物，這樣你們就可以得到醫治，也可以知道他為什麼懲罰你們。」

他們回答：“你們把以色列神的約櫃送回去的時候，不可空空地把它送回去，卻要償還賠罪的禮物，這樣，你們就可以得著醫治，也可以知道，為甚麼他的手沒有離開你們。”

他們說：『若要將以色列上帝的櫃送走，你們不可空空送去，總要將賠罪禮物還給他，然後能得醫好，也能知道他的手為甚麼沒有離開你們。』

他們回答：「如果你們要送回以色列神的約櫃，不要空手送回，一定要把賠罪的禮物帶給以色列的神。這樣你們就可以痊癒，也知道為什麼他的手不離開你們。」

曰、如欲遣以色列上帝之匱、勿使徒去、必獻補過之祭、乃可得醫、且知其手不離於爾之故、

曰、如欲遣歸以色列族上帝之匱、毋使徒去、必獻補過之祭、則可得醫、而降災不輟之故、由是而知。

曰、如欲遣歸以色列天主之匱、不可使之徒去、當獻贖愆祭、乃得痊愈、而其降災不離爾之故、亦由是可知、

They answered,“ If you return the ark of the god of Israel, do not send it back to him without a gift; by all means send a guilt offering to him. Then you will be healed, and you will know why his hand has not been lifted from you.”

They answered,“ If you return the ark of the god of Israel, don’t send it back to him without a gift. Be sure you send a guilt offering to their god along with it. Then you will be healed. You will find out why his power has continued to be against you.”

They said,“ If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, do not send it empty, but by all means return him a guilt offering. Then you will be healed, and it will be known to you why his hand does not turn away from you.”

“ Send the Ark of the God of Israel back with a gift,” they were told.“ Send a guilt offering so the plague will stop. Then, if you are healed, you will know it was his hand that caused the plague.”

They replied,“ If you send the ark of Israel’s God away, do not send it without an offering. Send back a guilt offering to him, and you will be healed. Then the reason his hand hasn’t been removed from you will be revealed.”

And they said,“ If you are going to send the ark of the God of Israel away, do not send it empty; but you shall certainly return to Him a guilt offering. Then you will be healed, and it will be revealed to you why His hand does not leave you.”

So they said,“ If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, do not send it empty; but by all means return it to Him with a trespass offering. Then you will be healed, and it will be known to you why His hand is not removed from you.”

And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but by all means return him a trespass- offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.

They replied,“ If you send the ark of Israel’s God away, you must not send it without an offering. You must send back a restitution offering to Him, and you will be healed. Then the reason His hand hasn’t been removed from you will be revealed.”

And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.

They said,“ If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, don’t send it empty; but by all means return a trespass offering to him. Then you will be healed, and it will be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.”

But keep an eye on it. If it should go up by the way of its own border to Beth Shemesh, then he has brought this great calamity on us. But if that is not the case, then we will know that it was not his hand that struck us; rather, it just happened to us by accident.”

You are to observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread; seven days you must eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you, at the appointed time of the month of Abib, for at that time you came out of Egypt. No one may appear before me empty-handed.

Three times a year all your males must appear before the LORD your God in the place he chooses for the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks, and the Festival of Temporary Shelters; and they must not appear before him empty-handed.

Now the firstling of a donkey you may redeem with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, then break its neck. You must redeem all the firstborn of your sons.“ No one will appear before me empty-handed.

“‘ This is the law of the guilt offering. It is most holy.In the place where they slaughter the burnt offering they must slaughter the guilt offering, and the officiating priest must splash the blood against the altar’s sides.Then the one making the offering must present all its fat: the fatty tail, the fat covering the entrails,the two kidneys and the fat on their sinews, and the protruding lobe on the liver( which he must remove along with the kidneys).Then the priest must offer them up in smoke on the altar as a gift to the LORD. It is a guilt offering.Any male among the priests may eat it. It must be eaten in a holy place. It is most holy.The law is the same for the sin offering and the guilt offering; it belongs to the priest who makes atonement with it.

I will say to God,‘ Do not condemn me; tell me why you are contending with me.’

But after it had been moved the LORD attacked that city as well, causing a great deal of panic. He struck all the people of that city with sores.

“ Has anyone said to God,‘ I have endured chastisement, but I will not act wrongly any more.Teach me what I cannot see. If I have done evil, I will do so no more.’

When the people of Ashdod saw what was happening, they said,“ The ark of the God of Israel should not remain with us, for he has attacked both us and our god Dagon!”

Then he must bring his guilt offering to the LORD, a flawless ram from the flock, convertible into silver shekels, for a guilt offering to the priest.

and he must bring his penalty for guilt to the LORD for his sin that he has committed, a female from the flock, whether a female sheep or a female goat, for a sin offering. So the priest will make atonement on his behalf for his sin.

So they assembled all the leaders of the Philistines and said,“ Get the ark of the God of Israel out of here! Let it go back to its own place so that it won’t kill us and our people!” The terror of death was throughout the entire city; God was attacking them very severely there.

“ When a person commits a trespass and sins by straying unintentionally from the regulations about the Lord’s holy things, then he must bring his penalty for guilt to the LORD, a flawless ram from the flock, convertible into silver shekels according to the standard of the sanctuary shekel, for a guilt offering.And whatever holy thing he violated he must restore and must add one fifth to it and give it to the priest. So the priest will make atonement on his behalf with the guilt offering ram and he will be forgiven.”“ If a person sins and violates any of the Lord’s commandments which must not be violated( although he did not know it at the time, but later realizes he is guilty), then he will bear his punishment for iniquityand must bring a flawless ram from the flock, convertible into silver shekels, for a guilt offering to the priest. So the priest will make atonement on his behalf for his error which he committed( although he himself had not known it) and he will be forgiven.It is a guilt offering; he was surely guilty before the LORD.”
