The residents of Beth Shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand before the LORD, this holy God? To whom will the ark go up from here?”

And the people of Beth Shemesh asked,“ Who can stand in the presence of the Lord, this holy God? To whom will the ark go up from here?”

The people of Beth Shemesh said,“ The Lord is a holy God. Who can stand in front of him? Where can the ark go up to from here?”

Then the men of Beth-shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to whom shall he go up away from us?”

“ Who is able to stand in the presence of the Lord, this holy God?” they cried out.“ Where can we send the Ark from here?”

The people of Beth-shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand in the presence of the LORD this holy God? To whom should the ark go from here?”

And the men of Beth shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to whom will He go up from us?”

And the men of Beth Shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before this holy Lord God? And to whom shall it go up from us?”

And the men of Beth- shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

The men of Beth-shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand in the presence of this holy Lord God? Who should the ark go to from here?”

And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

The men of Beth Shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before Yahweh, this holy God? To whom shall he go up from us?”

David was afraid of the LORD that day and said,“ How will the ark of the LORD ever come to me?”

Who can endure the day of his coming? Who can keep standing when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire, like a launderer’s soap.

because the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to withstand it?”

You are awesome! Yes, you! Who can withstand your intense anger?

So they assembled all the leaders of the Philistines and asked,“ What should we do with the ark of the God of Israel?” They replied,“ The ark of the God of Israel should be moved to Gath.” So they moved the ark of the God of Israel.But after it had been moved the LORD attacked that city as well, causing a great deal of panic. He struck all the people of that city with sores.So they sent the ark of God to Ekron. But when the ark of God arrived at Ekron, the residents of Ekron cried out saying,“ They have brought the ark of the God of Israel here to kill our people!”So they assembled all the leaders of the Philistines and said,“ Get the ark of the God of Israel out of here! Let it go back to its own place so that it won’t kill us and our people!” The terror of death was throughout the entire city; God was attacking them very severely there.The people who did not die were struck with sores; the city’s cry for help went all the way up to heaven.

The Israelites said to Moses,“ We are bound to die! We perish, we all perish!( 17: 28) Anyone who even comes close to the tabernacle of the LORD will die! Are we all to die?”

David was angry because the LORD attacked Uzzah; so he called that place Perez Uzzah, which remains its name to this very day.David was afraid of God that day and said,“ How will I ever be able to bring the ark of God up here?”So David did not move the ark to the City of David; he left it in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.

Then all the people of the Gerasenes and the surrounding region asked Jesus to leave them alone, for they were seized with great fear. So he got into the boat and left.

But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying,“ Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!”

for I am the LORD who brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your God, and you are to be holy because I am holy.

The LORD was so furious with Uzzah, he killed him on the spot for his negligence. He died right there beside the ark of God.
