伯．示麦人说：“在耶和华这位圣洁的神面前，谁能站立得住呢？他可以从我们这里上到哪里去呢？”

伯示麦人说：“谁能在这位圣洁的神耶和华面前站立得住呢？应该请他离开我们上谁那里去呢？”

伯‧示麥人說：「誰能在耶和華這聖潔的神面前侍立呢？這約櫃可以從我們這裏送到誰那裏去呢？」

伯‧示麥人說：「誰能在耶和華這位聖潔的上帝面前侍立呢？這約櫃可以從我們這裏上到誰那裏去呢？」

伯示麥人說：「誰能在這位聖潔的神耶和華面前站立得住呢？應該請他離開我們上誰那裡去呢？」

伯示麥人曰、此維聖之上帝耶和華、孰能立於其前、彼離我、當何往、

伯示麥人曰、耶和華上帝至聖、孰能立於其前、匱離斯土、當往何方。

伯示麥人曰、主天主至聖、誰能立於其前、匱離我儕當往誰之所乎、

And the people of Beth Shemesh asked,“ Who can stand in the presence of the Lord, this holy God? To whom will the ark go up from here?”

The people of Beth Shemesh said,“ The Lord is a holy God. Who can stand in front of him? Where can the ark go up to from here?”

Then the men of Beth-shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to whom shall he go up away from us?”

“ Who is able to stand in the presence of the Lord, this holy God?” they cried out.“ Where can we send the Ark from here?”

The people of Beth-shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand in the presence of the LORD this holy God? To whom should the ark go from here?”

And the men of Beth shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before the Lord, this holy God? And to whom will He go up from us?”

And the men of Beth Shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before this holy Lord God? And to whom shall it go up from us?”

And the men of Beth- shemesh said, Who is able to stand before Jehovah, this holy God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

The men of Beth-shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand in the presence of this holy Lord God? Who should the ark go to from here?”

And the men of Bethshemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

The residents of Beth Shemesh asked,“ Who is able to stand before the LORD, this holy God? To whom will the ark go up from here?”

The men of Beth Shemesh said,“ Who is able to stand before Yahweh, this holy God? To whom shall he go up from us?”

David was afraid of the Lord that day and said,“ How can the ark of the Lord ever come to me?” (niv)

But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. (niv)

For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?” (niv)

It is you alone who are to be feared. Who can stand before you when you are angry? (niv)

So they called together all the rulers of the Philistines and asked them,“ What shall we do with the ark of the god of Israel?” They answered,“ Have the ark of the god of Israel moved to Gath.” So they moved the ark of the God of Israel.But after they had moved it, the Lord’s hand was against that city, throwing it into a great panic. He afflicted the people of the city, both young and old, with an outbreak of tumors.So they sent the ark of God to Ekron. As the ark of God was entering Ekron, the people of Ekron cried out,“ They have brought the ark of the god of Israel around to us to kill us and our people.”So they called together all the rulers of the Philistines and said,“ Send the ark of the god of Israel away; let it go back to its own place, or it will kill us and our people.” For death had filled the city with panic; God’s hand was very heavy on it.Those who did not die were afflicted with tumors, and the outcry of the city went up to heaven. The Israelites said to Moses,“ We will die! We are lost, we are all lost!Anyone who even comes near the tabernacle of the Lord will die. Are we all going to die?” (niv)

Then David was angry because the Lord’s wrath had broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is called Perez Uzzah.David was afraid of God that day and asked,“ How can I ever bring the ark of God to me?”He did not take the ark to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed- Edom the Gittite. (niv)

Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them, because they were overcome with fear. So he got into the boat and left. (niv)

When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said,“ Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” (niv)

I am the Lord, who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy. (niv)

The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah because of his irreverent act; therefore God struck him down, and he died there beside the ark of God. (niv)
