非利士人说：“应当用什么献为赔罪的礼物呢？”他们回答说：“当照非利士首领的数目，用五个金痔疮，五个金老鼠，因为在你们众人和你们首领的身上都是一样的灾。所以当制造你们痔疮的像和毁坏你们田地老鼠的像，并要归荣耀给以色列的神，或者他向你们和你们的神，并你们的田地，把手放轻些。

我看见主站在祭坛旁边；他说：“你要击打柱顶，使门槛震动，打碎柱顶，落在众人头上；所剩下的人，我必用刀杀戮，无一人能逃避，无一人能逃脱。他们虽然挖透阴间，我的手必取出他们来；虽然爬上天去，我必拿下他们来；虽然藏在迦密山顶，我必搜寻，捉出他们来；虽然从我眼前藏在海底，我必命蛇咬他们；虽被仇敌掳去，我必命刀剑杀戮他们；我必向他们定住眼目，降祸不降福。”
