When the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord! They took Dagon and put him back in his place.

The people of Ashdod got up early the next day. They saw the statue of Dagon. There it was, lying on the ground! It had fallen on its face in front of the ark of the Lord. So they picked up the statue of Dagon. They put it back in its place.

And when the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon and put him back in his place.

But when the citizens of Ashdod went to see it the next morning, Dagon had fallen with his face to the ground in front of the Ark of the Lord! So they took Dagon and put him in his place again.

彼勒屈伏，尼波屈蹲，它們的像馱在走獸和牲畜上。你們所抬的成了重負，成了疲乏牲畜的負載。它們一同屈蹲、屈伏，不但不能保全負載，連自己也被擄去了。

有關埃及的默示：看哪，耶和華乘駕飛快的雲，即將臨到埃及！埃及的偶像將在他面前顫抖，埃及人都心融膽喪。

他們把神像抬起，扛在肩上，又把它安置就位；它就在那裡呆立不動。儘管人向它呼求，它也不回應，更不能拯救人脫離患難。

他用剩下的一半做了一個神像，就是他雕刻的偶像，然後向它俯伏下拜，又向它禱告，說：「求你救我，因為你是我的神。」這樣的人不明白，也不領悟，因為耶和華蒙蔽他們的眼使他們不能看見，蒙蔽他們的心使他們不能明悟。他們不反思，也沒有知識和聰慧來說：「我用一半的木頭燒火，又在火炭上烘餅，烤肉吃。我怎麼能用剩下的木頭製造可憎之物呢？我怎麼能向一塊木頭膜拜呢？」他們追求的只是灰燼；他們的心受了迷惑，使他們偏離正道；他們不能救自己，也不會說：「我右手中的，難道不是虛謊之物嗎？」

你們不可與不信的人同負一軛。公義和罪惡到底有什麼相通呢？光明與黑暗有什麼相合呢？基督與彼列有什麼相融呢？信的與不信的有什麼關係呢？神的聖所與偶像有什麼相同呢？要知道，我們是永生神的聖所，正如神所說：「我將要在他們中間居住，在他們中間往來；我將要做他們的神，他們將要做我的子民。」

願一切服事雕刻偶像、以無用的偶像誇耀的，都蒙羞辱；一切的神明啊，你們都當向他下拜！

匠人鼓勵工匠，用錘子打平金屬的鼓勵用錘子打砧的，論到焊接的說：「焊得好！」他們又用釘子把偶像釘穩，使它不會搖動。

耶穌對他們說：「我看見撒旦像閃電一樣從天上墜落。看，我已經給了你們權柄去踐踏蛇和蠍子，又勝過仇敵一切的勢力，絕不會有什麼能傷害你們了。但不要因為邪靈服從了你們就歡喜，要因為你們的名字已經被記錄在天上而歡喜。」

那窮得供奉不起的人，就挑選不會朽壞的木頭，為自己尋找巧匠，立起不會搖動的偶像。

汙靈每當見到耶穌，就俯伏在他面前，喊叫說：「你是神的兒子！」
