When the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord! They took Dagon and put him back in his place.

The people of Ashdod got up early the next day. They saw the statue of Dagon. There it was, lying on the ground! It had fallen on its face in front of the ark of the Lord. So they picked up the statue of Dagon. They put it back in its place.

And when the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon and put him back in his place.

But when the citizens of Ashdod went to see it the next morning, Dagon had fallen with his face to the ground in front of the Ark of the Lord! So they took Dagon and put him in his place again.

彼勒屈膝跪下，尼波弯腰降服。这些巴比伦的偶像成为野兽和牲畜背上的重负，使其疲惫不堪。它们一同屈膝降服，不但救不了被掳的巴比伦人，自己也被掳去。

以下是关于埃及的预言：看啊，耶和华驾着疾驰的云来到埃及。埃及的偶像在祂面前颤抖，埃及人胆战心惊。

他们把神像抬起来扛在肩上，找个地方把它安置好，它就在那里呆立不动。人向它呼求，它不能回应，也不能救人脱离困境。

他用另一半木头造了一个神，一个偶像，向它俯伏叩拜、祷告说：“你是我的神明，求你拯救我。”他们愚昧无知，因为眼睛被封住以致看不见，心窍被塞住以致不明白。他们无人思想，无人明白，无人醒悟说：“我用一半木头当柴烤饼、烤肉吃，我岂能用另一半木头造可憎的神像？我岂能向一块木头叩拜？”他们以灰为食，心智迷糊，走入歧途，不能自救，也不会说：“我右手拿的神像不是假的吗？”

不要和非信徒同负一轭，因为公义和不法怎能合作呢？光明和黑暗怎能共存呢？基督与魔鬼怎能相容呢？信徒与非信徒有什么相干呢？上帝的殿与偶像怎能相提并论呢？因为我们就是永活上帝的殿，正如上帝说：“我要住在他们中间，在他们当中往来；我要做他们的上帝，他们要做我的子民。”

“因为那一夜我要巡遍埃及，把境内所有长子和头生的牲畜全都杀掉，也要严惩埃及所有的神明。我是耶和华。

愿一切祭拜神像，以神像夸口的人都蒙羞。所有的神明啊，你们都要向耶和华下拜。

工匠鼓励银匠，打磨的勉励打砧的，说，‘打得好！’他们用钉子把偶像钉牢，免得摇晃。

耶稣回答说：“我看见撒旦像闪电一样从天上坠下。我已经给你们权柄，使你们能践踏蛇和蝎子，胜过仇敌的权势，没有什么能伤害你们。然而，不要为了邪灵向你们降服而高兴，要因你们的名字记录在天上而高兴。”

买不起这种偶像的人就选一块耐用的木头，找个精巧的工匠，雕出一个可以站立不倒的偶像。

耶和华必令他们恐惧，因为祂要消灭世上的神明。天下万民必各在本地敬拜祂。

每当污鬼看见祂，就俯伏在祂面前，大喊：“你是上帝的儿子！”

他们都愚昧无知，毫无用处的木制偶像能教导他们什么呢？
