So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said,“ He is the Lord; let him do what is good in his eyes.”

他们对耶和华说：“我们犯了罪，任你处置我们，只求你今天拯救我们。”

所以你们要在上帝大能的手下谦卑，时候到了，祂必擢升你们。

说：“我从母腹赤身而来，也必赤身而去。赏赐的是耶和华，收回的也是耶和华。耶和华的名当受称颂！”

我默然不语，一言不发，因为我受的责罚是出于你。

你绝不会黑白不分，把义人和恶人一同毁灭。你是普天下的审判者，难道不秉公行事吗？”

王却说：“洗鲁雅的儿子啊，不要管我的事。如果是耶和华叫他来咒骂我，谁能干涉他呢？”大卫对亚比筛和他所有臣仆说：“我的亲生儿子尚且要取我的命，何况这个便雅悯人呢？由他去吧！因为这是耶和华的意思。也许耶和华会体察我的困苦，因我今天所受的咒骂而赐福给我。”
