一个是亚弗王，一个是拉沙仑王，

耶斯列人拿伯在耶斯列有一个葡萄园，靠近撒玛利亚王亚哈的王宫。

余下来的都逃入亚弗城里，城墙倒塌，压死了余下来的二万七千人。便．哈达也逃到城里来，躲进一间密室里。

耶和华就对何西阿说：“给他起名叫耶斯列；因为不久我就要惩罚耶户家在耶斯列流人血的罪，我要灭绝以色列家的国。“到那日，我要在耶斯列平原折断以色列的弓。”后来，歌玛又怀孕，生了一个女儿。耶和华对何西阿说：“给她起名叫罗．路哈玛（“罗‧路哈玛”意即“不蒙怜恤”）；因为我必不再怜恤以色列家，我决不赦免他们。“但我要怜恤犹大家，使他们靠耶和华他们的神得救。我要拯救他们，并不是靠弓、靠刀、靠战争，也不是靠战马、靠骑兵。”罗．路哈玛断奶之后，歌玛又怀孕生了一个儿子。耶和华说：“给他起名叫罗．阿米（“罗‧阿米”意即“非我民”）；因为你们不是我的子民，我也不是你们的神。“然而，以色列人的数目，必多如海边的沙，量不尽，数不完。从前在什么地方对他们说：‘你们不是我的子民’，将来要在那里对他们说：‘你们是永活的神的儿子。’犹大人和以色列人要聚集在一起，为自己立一位首领，并离开那地上去，因为耶斯列的日子必为大日。”（本章第10~11节在《马索拉文本》为2:1~2）

他们就回去，告诉他，他说：“这正是耶和华藉着他仆人提斯比人以利亚所说的话：‘野狗必在耶斯列的地方吃耶洗别的肉。’

他们的境界包括耶斯列、基苏律、书念、

霎时之间，天空因风云而变为黑暗，随着降下大雨来。于是亚哈坐上了车，往耶斯列去了。耶和华的能力临到以利亚的身上，以利亚就束上腰，跑在亚哈的前头，直跑到耶斯列的城门口。

至于耶洗别，耶和华也说：‘狗必在耶斯列的地方吃耶洗别的肉。

那时，非利士人聚集他们的军队，要与以色列人争战。亚吉对大卫说：“你要清楚知道，你和跟随你的人都要在军队中与我一同出征。”大卫回答亚吉说：“仆人所能作的事你都知道。”于是亚吉对大卫说：“好吧，我要立你永远作我的护卫长。”

那时，米甸人、亚玛力人和东方人，都聚集起来，过了河，在耶斯列平原安营。

非利士人聚集起来，来到书念安营；扫罗也聚集以色列众人，在基利波安营。

耶户到了耶斯列。耶洗别已经听闻，就涂眼梳头，从窗户里往外观望。
