Because you did not obey the voice of the Lord and did not carry out his fierce wrath against Amalek, therefore the Lord has done this thing to you this day.

因你没有听从耶和华的命令；他恼怒亚玛力人，你没有灭绝他们，所以今日耶和华向你这样行，

因为你没有听从耶和华的话，没有执行他对亚玛力人的恼怒，所以今日耶和华向你做这事。

因為你沒有聽從耶和華的話，沒有對亞瑪力人施行他烈怒的懲罰，因此今天耶和華向你行了這事。

爾不聽耶和華命、成其烈怒於亞瑪力、故今日耶和華以此加諸爾、

爾不遵耶和華命、其怒亞馬力人爾不雪其恨、故迄今日、致有此事。

緣爾不遵主命、不循主之烈怒以滅亞瑪力人、故今日主待爾若此、

Because you did not obey the Lord or carry out his fierce wrath against the Amalekites, the Lord has done this to you today.

You didn’t obey the Lord. You didn’t show his great anger against the Amalekites by destroying them. So he’s punishing you today.

The Lord has done this to you today because you refused to carry out his fierce anger against the Amalekites.

You did not obey the LORD and did not carry out his burning anger against Amalek; therefore the LORD has done this to you today.

Just as you did not obey the Lord and did not execute His fierce wrath on Amalek, so the Lord has done this thing to you this day.

Because you did not obey the voice of the Lord nor execute His fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore the Lord has done this thing to you this day.

Because thou obeyedst not the voice of Jehovah, and didst not execute his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath Jehovah done this thing unto thee this day.

You did not obey the Lord and did not carry out His burning anger against Amalek; therefore the Lord has done this to you today.

Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this day.

Since you did not obey the LORD and did not carry out his fierce anger against the Amalekites, the LORD has done this thing to you today.

Because you didn’t obey Yahweh’s voice, and didn’t execute his fierce wrath on Amalek, therefore Yahweh has done this thing to you today.

And he said to him,“ Thus says the Lord,‘ Because you have let go out of your hand the man whom I had devoted to destruction, therefore your life shall be for his life, and your people for his people.’”

But Saul and the people spared Agag and the best of the sheep and of the oxen and of the fattened calves and the lambs, and all that was good, and would not utterly destroy them. All that was despised and worthless they devoted to destruction.

“ Cursed is he who does the work of the Lord with slackness, and cursed is he who keeps back his sword from bloodshed.

So Saul said,“ Bring the burnt offering here to me, and the peace offerings.” And he offered the burnt offering.

And Saul said to Samuel,“ I have obeyed the voice of the Lord. I have gone on the mission on which the Lord sent me. I have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and I have devoted the Amalekites to destruction.

These things you have done, and I have been silent; you thought that I was one like yourself. But now I rebuke you and lay the charge before you.“ Mark this, then, you who forget God, lest I tear you apart, and there be none to deliver!

For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and presumption is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you from being king.”Saul said to Samuel,“ I have sinned, for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord and your words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.Now therefore, please pardon my sin and return with me that I may bow before the Lord.”And Samuel said to Saul,“ I will not return with you. For you have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you from being king over Israel.”

So Saul died for his breach of faith. He broke faith with the Lord in that he did not keep the command of the Lord, and also consulted a medium, seeking guidance.
