并不像我命士师治理我民以色列的时候一样。我必使你安靖，不被一切仇敌扰乱，并且我耶和华应许你，必为你建立家室。

我父啊，看看你外袍的衣襟在我手中。我割下你的衣襟，没有杀你；你由此可以知道我没有恶意叛逆你。你虽然猎取我的命，我却没有得罪你。

我就必坚固你的国位在以色列中，直到永远，正如我应许你父大卫说：‘你的子孙必不断人坐以色列的国位。’

你的家和你的国必在我面前永远坚立。你的国位也必坚定，直到永远。’”

又使这众人知道耶和华使人得胜，不是用刀用枪，因为争战的胜败全在乎耶和华。他必将你们交在我们手里。”

对大卫说：“你比我公义；因为你以善待我，我却以恶待你。

撒母耳对他说：“如此，今日耶和华使以色列国与你断绝，将这国赐与比你更好的人。

你们的光也当这样照在人前，叫他们看见你们的好行为，便将荣耀归给你们在天上的父。”

因为大卫除了赫人乌利亚那件事，都是行耶和华眼中看为正的事，一生没有违背耶和华一切所吩咐的。

百夫长看见所成的事，就归荣耀与神，说：“这真是个义人！”

我们是应该的，因我们所受的与我们所做的相称，但这个人没有做过一件不好的事。”

行为完全、遵行耶和华律法的，这人便为有福！遵守他的法度、一心寻求他的，这人便为有福！这人不做非义的事，但遵行他的道。

俯伏在大卫的脚前，说：“我主啊，愿这罪归我！求你容婢女向你进言，更求你听婢女的话。

从前扫罗作我们王的时候，率领以色列人出入的是你；耶和华也曾应许你说：‘你必牧养我的民以色列，作以色列的君。’”

对跟随他的人说：“我的主乃是耶和华的受膏者，我在耶和华面前万不敢伸手害他，因他是耶和华的受膏者。”大卫用这话拦住跟随他的人，不容他们起来害扫罗。扫罗起来，从洞里出去行路。

我还有末了的话：你们要靠着主，倚赖他的大能大力作刚强的人。要穿戴神所赐的全副军装，就能抵挡魔鬼的诡计。

他说：“犹大众人、耶路撒冷的居民，和约沙法王，你们请听。耶和华对你们如此说：‘不要因这大军恐惧惊惶；因为胜败不在乎你们，乃在乎神。
