我的神啊，因为你启示了你的仆人，说要为他建立王朝（“王朝”直译作“家”），所以你仆人才敢在你面前这样祷告。

万军之耶和华以色列的神啊！因为你曾启示你的仆人说：‘我要为你建立家室。’所以你的仆人才敢来向你作这样的祷告。

好像我吩咐士师统治我的子民以色列人的日子一样。我必制伏你所有的仇敌，并且我告诉你，耶和华必为你建立家室。

我要使他的后裔存到永远，使他的王位好像天一样长久。

也使这些人群都知道，耶和华拯救人不是靠刀，不是靠枪，因为战争的胜败在于耶和华，他必把你们交在我们的手里。”

对大卫说：“你比我公义，因为你以良善待我，我却以恶待你。

撒母耳就对他说：“今天耶和华把以色列国从你身上撕裂，赐给比你更好的人。

照样，你们的光也应当照在人前，让他们看见你们的好行为，又颂赞你们在天上的父。

因为除了赫人乌利亚那事以外，大卫都行耶和华看为正的事，一生之中从来没有偏离耶和华所吩咐他的一切。

百夫长看见所发生的事，就颂赞神，说：“这真是个义人！”

我们是罪有应得的。我们所受的与所作的相称，然而这个人并没有作过什么不对的事。”

行为完全，遵行耶和华律法的，都是有福的。谨守他的法度，全心寻求他的，都是有福的。他们不作不义的事；他们遵行他的道。

她又俯伏在大卫的脚前，说：“我主啊，愿这罪孽归我。求你容婢女向你讲话，求你听婢女所说的话。

从前扫罗作我们的王的时候，领导以色列人行动的是你。耶和华也曾对你说：‘你要牧养我的子民以色列，要作以色列的领袖。’”

就对跟随他的人说：“我在耶和华面前绝对不能这样对待我主耶和华的受膏者，我绝对不能动手攻击他，因为他是耶和华的受膏者。”大卫用这些话阻止了跟随他的人，不让他们起来攻击扫罗。扫罗起来，出了山洞，继续走他的路去了。

最后，你们要靠主的大能大力，在他里面刚强。要穿戴神所赐的全副军装，使你们能抵挡魔鬼的诡计。

他就说：“全犹大的人、耶路撒冷的居民和约沙法王啊，你们要留意！耶和华这样对你们说：‘你们不要因这大军惧怕和惊慌，因为战争的胜负不是在于你们，而是在于神。
