我看见狂傲的恶人亨通就心怀不平。他们一生平顺，健康强壮。他们不像别人受苦，不像世人遭难。他们把骄傲作项链戴在颈上，把暴力作外袍裹在身上。他们胖得眼睛凸出，心中充满罪恶。

这时候亚伯兰已经拥有很多牲畜和金银。

耶和华啊，求你伸手救我脱离这些人，脱离这些只在今生有福分的世人。你使他们财宝无数。他们儿女众多，还把财富留给子孙。

大卫的两个妻子耶斯列人亚希暖和拿八的遗孀迦密人亚比该也一起被掳走了。

耶和华赐给约伯晚年的福分比起初更多：他有一万四千只羊、六千只骆驼、一千对牛和一千头母驴。

两年后，押沙龙的工人在以法莲附近的巴力·夏琐剪羊毛，押沙龙邀请王的众子去那里。他去见王，说：“我的工人正在剪羊毛，请王和众臣仆跟我一起去吧。”

他的财富越来越多，成了大富户。

七千只羊、三千只骆驼、五百对牛、五百头母驴及许多仆婢。他在东方人中最富有。

那时，巴西莱已经是八十高龄了。王留在玛哈念的时候，他曾供应王食物，因为他非常富有。
