我餅我水、我所宰之肉、當予剪毛者、豈可賜於不知奚自者乎、

我餅我水、及我為翦羊毛者所宰之肉、豈可予我不知奚自之人乎、

Why should I take my bread and water, and the meat I have slaughtered for my shearers, and give it to men coming from who knows where?”

Why should I give away my bread and water? Why should I give away the meat I’ve prepared for those who clip the wool off my sheep? Why should I give food to men who come from who knows where?”

Shall I take my bread and my water and my meat that I have killed for my shearers and give it to men who come from I do not know where?”

Should I take my bread and my water and my meat that I’ve slaughtered for my shearers and give it to a band of outlaws who come from who knows where?”

Am I supposed to take my bread, my water, and my meat that I butchered for my shearers and give them to these men? I don’t know where they are from.”

他名叫拿八，是迦勒族人，妻子名叫亞比該，既聰慧又漂亮。拿八粗暴兇惡。

我們要把握機會為眾人做善事，對待信徒更要如此。

拿八的一個僕人告訴拿八的妻子亞比該說：「大衛從曠野派人來向我們主人問安，主人卻辱罵他們。大衛的僕人對我們很好，從來不欺負我們。我們跟他們一起在田野的時候，從來沒有丟過任何東西。

當慷慨施捨，因為日後必有收穫。當把你的資財分給多人，因為你不知道日後會有什麼災難臨到世上。

俗語說，『惡事出於惡人』，所以我不會動手傷害你。

你們切勿以為是憑自己的雙手和能力致富的。

要互相接待，不發怨言，

他們胖得眼睛凸出，心中充滿罪惡。他們譏諷嘲笑，言語惡毒，狂妄地以暴力相威脅。

或獨吞我的食物，不與孤兒同享？

似乎默默無聞，卻是家喻戶曉；似乎快死了，看啊！我們卻仍然活著；受嚴刑拷打，卻沒有喪命；

我們知道上帝曾對摩西講話，至於這個人，我們不知道祂是從哪裡來的。」那人說：「祂開了我的眼睛，你們竟不知道祂從哪裡來，真是奇怪。
