今當指耶和華而誓、不絕我嗣、不滅我名於我父家、

爾當指耶和華而誓、不絕我嗣、不滅我名、在我父之家。

今爾當為我指主而誓、不絕我嗣、不滅我名於我父之家、

Now swear to me by the Lord that you will not kill off my descendants or wipe out my name from my father’s family.”

Now make a promise in the name of the Lord. Promise me that you won’t kill the children of my family. Also promise me that you won’t wipe out my name from my family line.”

Swear to me therefore by the Lord that you will not cut off my offspring after me, and that you will not destroy my name out of my father’s house.”

Now swear to me by the Lord that when that happens you will not kill my family and destroy my line of descendants!”

Therefore swear to me by the LORD that you will not cut off my descendants or wipe out my name from my father’s family.”

So now swear to me by the Lord that you will not cut off my descendants after me, and that you will not eliminate my name from my father’s household.”

Therefore swear now to me by the Lord that you will not cut off my descendants after me, and that you will not destroy my name from my father’s house.”

Swear now therefore unto me by Jehovah, that thou wilt not cut off my seed after me, and that thou wilt not destroy my name out of my father’s house.

Therefore swear to me by the Lord that you will not cut off my descendants or wipe out my name from my father’s family.”

如今請在這裏指着上帝對我起誓：你不要以詐偽待我和我的苗裔及後代；我怎樣厚待了你，你也要怎樣厚待我、和你所寄居的這地。

現在你要將他的子孫七人交給我們，我們好在永恆主面前把他們正法示眾在基遍永恆主的山上。』王說：『我要交給你們。』王因為在他們之間、在大衛與掃羅的兒子約拿單之間、有指着永恆主而起誓的約，就顧惜掃羅的孫子、約拿單的兒子、米非波設，不交出來，卻把愛雅的女兒利斯巴給掃羅生的兩個兒子、亞摩尼、米非波設，和掃羅的女兒米拉給米何拉人巴西萊的兒子亞得列生的五個兒子、

假使我還活着，那麼就求你將永恆主那樣的忠愛待我。假使我死了，求你也永不向我家剪斷忠愛。但假使永恆主從地上剪滅了大衛每一個仇敵，而約拿單也和掃羅家同被剪除了，那麼願永恆主從大衛家手裏追討這背約的罪。』於是約拿單憑着愛大衛的心、又對大衛起誓，因為他愛他如同自己的性命。

拉班說：『今天、這一堆是你我之間的證據』；於是給它起名叫迦累得。

願亞伯拉罕的上帝和拿鶴的上帝，他們父親的上帝，在我們之間判斷是非。』雅各就指着他父親以撒所敬畏的來起誓。

人都是指着比自己大的來起誓；起誓對於他們就了結了一切的爭辯，可做確定的保證。
