你们竟都结党害我！我的儿子与耶西的儿子结盟的时候，无人告诉我；我的儿子挑唆我的臣子谋害我，就如今日的光景，也无人告诉我，为我忧虑。”

你们竟都结党害我！我儿子与耶西的儿子立约的时候，无人告诉我；我儿子挑唆我的臣仆谋害我，像今日这样，也无人告诉我，为我忧虑。”

你们竟都结党害我！我儿子与耶西的儿子立约的时候，无人告诉我；我儿子挑唆我的臣仆谋害我，像今日这样，也无人告诉我，为我忧虑。”

为什么你们一同谋害我？我的儿子跟耶西的儿子立约，没有人告诉我。就是今天我的儿子鼓动我的臣仆来谋害我，也没有人关心我，告诉我。”

你们竟都同谋陷害我。我的儿子与耶西的儿子立盟约的时候，没有人告诉我；我的儿子挑唆我的臣仆陷害我，就像今天一样，你们中间也没有人关心我，告诉我。”

你们所有人竟然同谋对付我！当我的儿子与耶西的儿子结盟的时候，没有人告诉我；当我的儿子煽动我的臣仆伺机反对我时，就像今天这样，你们中间也没有人关心我、告诉我。”

你們所有人竟然同謀對付我！當我的兒子與耶西的兒子結盟的時候，沒有人告訴我；當我的兒子煽動我的臣僕伺機反對我時，就像今天這樣，你們中間也沒有人關心我、告訴我。」

使爾同謀攻我、我子與耶西子結盟、無人以告、罔為我憂、我子激我臣僕、伏以害我、有如今日、亦無人以告、

爾曹乃謀攻我、今日我子與我臣僕耶西之子結約、使伏以害我、無人以告、無人為我懷憂。

爾竟結黨謀攻我、我子與耶西子結盟、我子使我之臣、伏以害我、即如今日情景、爾中乃無人告我、無人為我懷憂、

Is that why you have all conspired against me? No one tells me when my son makes a covenant with the son of Jesse. None of you is concerned about me or tells me that my son has incited my servant to lie in wait for me, as he does today.”

Is that why all of you have joined together against me? No one tells me when my son makes a covenant with Jesse’s son. None of you is concerned about me. No one tells me that my son has stirred up Jesse’s son to hide and wait to attack me. But that’s exactly what’s happening now.”

Is that why you have conspired against me? For not one of you told me when my own son made a solemn pact with the son of Jesse. You’re not even sorry for me. Think of it! My own son— encouraging him to kill me, as he is trying to do this very day!”

That’s why all of you have conspired against me! Nobody tells me when my own son makes a covenant with Jesse’s son. None of you cares about me or tells me that my son has stirred up my own servant to wait in ambush for me, as is the case today.”

For all of you have conspired against me so that there is no one who informs me when my son makes a covenant with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you who cares about me or informs me that my son has stirred up my servant against me to lie in ambush, as it is this day.”

All of you have conspired against me, and there is no one who reveals to me that my son has made a covenant with the son of Jesse; and there is not one of you who is sorry for me or reveals to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as it is this day.”

that all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that discloseth to me when my son maketh a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry for me, or discloseth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

That’s why all of you have conspired against me! Nobody tells me when my own son makes a covenant with Jesse’s son. None of you cares about me or tells me that my son has stirred up my own servant to wait in ambush for me, as is the case today.”

That all of you have conspired against me, and[ there is] none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and[ there is] none of you that is sorry for me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

For all of you have conspired against me! No one informs me when my own son makes an agreement with this son of Jesse! Not one of you feels sorry for me or informs me that my own son has commissioned my own servant to hide in ambush against me, as is the case today!”

Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.

Saul said,“ You are blessed by Yahweh; for you have had compassion on me.

He said to him,“ Far from it; you will not die. Behold, my father does nothing either great or small, but that he discloses it to me. Why would my father hide this thing from me? It is not so.”

Then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction,

Jonathan, Saul’s son, arose, and went to David into the woods, and strengthened his hand in God.He said to him,“ Don’t be afraid; for the hand of Saul my father won’t find you; and you will be king over Israel, and I will be next to you; and Saul my father knows that also.”They both made a covenant before Yahweh. Then David stayed in the woods, and Jonathan went to his house.

Jonathan said to David,“ Go in peace, because we have both sworn in Yahweh’s name, saying,‘ Yahweh is between me and you, and between my offspring and your offspring, forever.’” He arose and departed; and Jonathan went into the city.

Then Saul’s anger burned against Jonathan, and he said to him,“ You son of a perverse rebellious woman, don’t I know that you have chosen the son of Jesse to your own shame, and to the shame of your mother’s nakedness?For as long as the son of Jesse lives on the earth, you will not be established, nor will your kingdom. Therefore now send and bring him to me, for he shall surely die!”Jonathan answered Saul his father, and said to him,“ Why should he be put to death? What has he done?”Saul cast his spear at him to strike him. By this Jonathan knew that his father was determined to put David to death.So Jonathan arose from the table in fierce anger, and ate no food the second day of the month; for he was grieved for David, because his father had treated him shamefully.

Therefore deal kindly with your servant; for you have brought your servant into a covenant of Yahweh with you; but if there is iniquity in me, kill me yourself; for why should you bring me to your father?”

Yahweh do so to Jonathan, and more also, should it please my father to do you evil, if I don’t disclose it to you, and send you away, that you may go in peace. May Yahweh be with you, as he has been with my father.You shall not only show me the loving kindness of Yahweh while I still live, that I not die;but you shall also not cut off your kindness from my house forever; no, not when Yahweh has cut off every one of the enemies of David from the surface of the earth.”So Jonathan made a covenant with David’s house, saying,“ Yahweh will require it at the hand of David’s enemies.”Jonathan caused David to swear again, for the love that he had to him; for he loved him as he loved his own soul.
