王謂多益曰、爾往擊之、以東人多益遂擊祭司、當日殺衣枲聖衣者、八十五人、

The king then ordered Doeg,“ You turn and strike down the priests.” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck them down. That day he killed eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.

Then the king ordered Doeg,“ You go and strike down the priests.” So Doeg, the Edomite, went and struck them down. That day he killed 85 priests who wore linen aprons.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You turn and strike the priests.” And Doeg the Edomite turned and struck down the priests, and he killed on that day eighty-five persons who wore the linen ephod.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You do it.” So Doeg the Edomite turned on them and killed them that day, eighty five priests in all, still wearing their priestly garments.

So the king said to Doeg,“ Go and execute the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite went and executed the priests himself. On that day, he killed eighty-five men who wore linen ephods.

Then the king said to Doeg,“ You, turn around and attack the priests!” And Doeg the Edomite turned around and attacked the priests, and he killed on that day eighty five men who wore the linen ephod.

And the king said to Doeg,“ You turn and kill the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite turned and struck the priests, and killed on that day eighty-five men who wore a linen ephod.

And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the priests. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the priests, and he slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod.

So the king said to Doeg,“ Go and execute the priests!” So Doeg the Edomite went and executed the priests himself. On that day, he killed 85 men who wore linen ephods.

那時撒母耳在永恆主面前事奉着、還是個孩子；他束着細麻布的聖裲襠。

因此永恆主以色列的上帝發神諭說：「我固然曾經說過：你和你父的家必永遠在我面前往來」，但現在永恆主卻發神諭說：「我絕不容你們這樣行了，因為尊重我的、我必重看他；藐視我的、他就必被輕視。你看吧，日子必到，我必把你的膀臂、和你父的家的膀臂砍下來，使你家中沒有一個老年人。你在患難中必以羨慕的眼看我使以色列人所享的一切福，而在你家中卻永遠沒有一個老年人。你中間我沒有從我祭壇前剪除的那人必哭壞了眼睛，憂傷了心神；你家中增多的人口都必死在人刀下。

這件事、我在耶路撒冷居然作了。是我，我不但從祭司長得了權柄、把許多聖徒關在監裏；而且他們被殺掉，我還投票控告呢。在各會堂裏、我屢次用刑，想法子強迫他們說褻瀆上帝的話。我對待他們、狂怒極了，甚至逼迫、直到國外的城市。

我指着以利家所說的話，到那一天、我總要徹頭徹尾實行在以利身上。我必使他知道，為了他所知道的罪孽我必永遠判罰他的家，因為他的兒子自招咒詛，他也不斥責他們。所以我向以利家起誓說：以利家的罪孽就使用肉祭和供物、也永遠不能得赦除。』

他們用他們的壞行為使王歡喜，用他們的騙術使首領喜樂。

『要為亞倫的兒子們作內袍，給他們作長腰帶，又給他們作裹頭巾，讓他們有光輝有華美。

因為你守了暗利的規例和亞哈家一切所行的，按照他們的計畫去行，好叫我使你荒涼，使你的居民被嗤笑；你們也必擔受萬族之民的羞辱。』

你家留下的人都必來叩拜他，求一點銀錢，一角餅，說：求你使我隸屬於任何祭司職任，好讓我得點飯喫。」』

她中間的首領是吼叫的獅子；她的審判官是晚上的豺狼，一點啃骨肉也不留到早晨。

以法蓮欺壓人，蹂躪是非；因為他情願隨從虛空神。

我不是在以色列眾族派中揀選了他們做我的祭司，上我的祭壇，燻肉香，在我面前帶着以弗得麼？又不是將以色列人所獻的火祭都賜給你祖宗的家麼？

眾民陰謀要害撒迦利亞，就照王所吩咐的在永恆主之殿的院子、扔石頭把他砍死。
