我用我的声音向耶和华哀求，用我的声音向耶和华恳求。我在他面前倾吐我的苦情，在他面前陈说我的患难。我的灵在我里面虚弱时，你知道我的道路；在我所行的路上，他们为我暗设网罗。求你向我右边观看，没有人理睬我，我没有避难的地方，也没有人顾念我的灵魂！耶和华啊，我向你哀求，说：“你是我的避难所，是我在活人之地继业的份！”求你留心听我的呼声，因为我极其衰微；求你解救我脱离追逼我的人，因为他们比我强大。求你把我的灵魂从被囚之地领出来，好让我称颂你的名；义人将环绕我，因为你恩待我。

我要时时颂赞耶和华，常常在我的口中赞美他。

他们是这世界不配有的。他们在旷野、山岭、岩穴、地洞中漂流无定。

那天，大卫动身，从扫罗面前逃走，逃到了迦特王亚吉那里。亚吉的臣仆对亚吉说：“这不是那地的王大卫吗？关于这人，他们不是跳舞歌唱说：‘扫罗击杀千千，大卫击杀万万’吗？”大卫把这些话放在心上，就很惧怕迦特王亚吉，于是在他们眼前装疯，在他们手下假装癫狂，在城门的门扇上乱划，任唾沫流到胡须上。亚吉对臣仆们说：“你们看，这人在发疯！你们为什么把他带到我这里来呢？我缺少发疯的人吗？你们竟然把这人带来，在我面前发疯。这个人怎么可以进我的宫殿呢？”
