勇士啊，你為何作惡自誇？上帝的慈愛是常存的。你這行詭詐的人哪，你的舌頭像快利的剃刀，圖謀毀滅。你愛惡勝似愛善，又愛說謊，勝於愛說公義。（細拉）詭詐的舌頭啊，你愛說一切毀滅的話！上帝也要毀滅你，直到永遠。他要抓住你，從帳棚中拉你出來，從活人之地將你拔除。（細拉）義人要看見而懼怕，並要笑他。看哪，這就是那不以上帝為保障的人，他只倚靠豐富的財物，在邪惡上堅立自己。至於我，就像上帝殿中的青橄欖樹，我永永遠遠倚靠上帝的慈愛。我要稱謝你，直到永遠，因為你做了這事。我也要在你聖民面前仰望你的名，這名本為美好。

看哪，掃羅正從田間趕牛回來，說：「百姓為甚麼哭呢？」眾人把雅比人的話告訴他。

當時，迦南人與比利洗人在那地居住。亞伯蘭的牧人和羅得的牧人之間起了爭端。亞伯蘭就對羅得說：「你我不可以相爭，你的牧人和我的牧人也不可以相爭，因為我們是一家人。

於是保羅帶着那四個人，第二天與他們一同行了潔淨禮，進了聖殿，報告潔淨期滿的日子，等候祭司為他們各人獻上祭物。那七日將完，從亞細亞來的猶太人看見保羅在聖殿裏，就煽動所有的羣眾，下手拿住他，

你們豈可偷盜，殺害，姦淫，起假誓，向巴力燒香，隨從素不認識的別神，又來到這稱為我名下的殿，在我面前敬拜，說『我們平安無事』，為了要行這一切可憎的事呢？這稱為我名下的殿在你們眼中豈可看為賊窩呢？看哪，我真的都看見了。這是耶和華說的。

他們如同百姓前來，來到你這裏，坐在你面前彷彿是我的子民。他們聽了你的話，卻不實行；因為他們口裏說愛，心卻追隨財利。

他在曠野建築瞭望樓，又挖了許多井，因為他在謝非拉和平原有很多牲畜。他在山區和肥沃的土地雇用耕種田地和修整葡萄園的人，因為他喜愛土地。

你們說：「初一幾時過去，我們好賣糧；安息日幾時過去，我們好擺開穀物；我們要把伊法變小，把舍客勒變大，以詭詐的天平欺哄人，

基拉耳的牧人與以撒的牧人相爭，說：「這水是我們的。」以撒就給那井起名叫埃色，因為他們和他相爭。

『這百姓用嘴唇尊敬我，他們的心卻遠離我。

掃羅執掌以色列的國權，攻打他四圍所有的仇敵，就是摩押人、亞捫人、以東人和瑣巴諸王，以及非利士人。他無論往何處去，都打敗他們。
