勇士啊，你為何以作惡為榮？上帝的慈愛永遠長存。你這詭詐的人啊，舌頭利如剃刀，盡是害人的奸計。你喜愛邪惡，不愛良善；你喜愛虛謊，不愛真理。（細拉）你有詭詐的舌頭，好說惡言惡語。上帝必永遠毀滅你，祂必抓住你，把你從家裡拉出來，從活人之地剷除。（細拉）義人看見必心生敬畏，他們必嘲笑說：「看啊，這就是不依靠上帝的人，他只倚仗自己的財富和以殘暴手段獲得的權勢。」我就像上帝殿中的一棵橄欖樹，枝繁葉茂，我永永遠遠信靠上帝的慈愛。上帝啊，我要永遠讚美你的作為。我要在你忠心的子民面前仰望你美善的名。

那時掃羅剛好趕著牛從田間回來，便問道：「發生了什麼事？為什麼大家都在哭？」百姓把雅比的情況告訴了他。

亞伯蘭的牧人和羅得的牧人彼此爭執。那時，迦南人和比利洗人也住在那裡。亞伯蘭對羅得說：「我們不該彼此爭執，我們的牧人也不該互相爭執，因為我們是骨肉至親。

於是，保羅和四位弟兄第二天行了潔淨禮，然後上聖殿報告他們潔淨期滿的日子，好在期滿後讓祭司為他們每個人獻祭物。當七日的潔淨期將滿的時候，有些從亞細亞來的猶太人發現保羅在聖殿裡，就煽動眾人去抓他。

你們偷盜、謀殺、通姦、起假誓、向巴力獻祭、拜素不認識的神明，然後來到這用來敬拜我的殿，站在我面前說自己安全了，以為可以繼續做可憎之事。難道這用來敬拜我的殿在你們眼中竟成了賊窩？這些事，我都看在眼裡。這是耶和華說的。

他們隨著人群來到你面前，坐著聆聽你的話，儼然像我的子民。但他們不付諸實行，嘴裡說的是甜言蜜語，心中卻追求不義之財。

又在曠野建造瞭望塔，挖了許多水井，因為他在高原和平原有很多牲畜。他雇人在山區和沃野為他耕種和照料葡萄園，因為他喜愛農耕。

你們盼望朔日和安息日快點過去，你們好售賣穀物。你們用小升斗賣糧，用加重的法碼收銀子，用假秤騙人。

基拉耳的牧人與以撒的牧人爭吵起來，都說：「這口井是我們的。」於是，以撒便稱那口井為埃色。

『這些人嘴上尊崇我，心卻遠離我，

掃羅統治以色列後，常常攻打四圍的摩押人、亞捫人、以東人、瑣巴的諸王和非利士人等仇敵，無往而不勝。
