孩子漸漸長大，強健起來，充滿智慧，又有神的恩在他身上。

孩子撒母耳漸漸長大，耶和華與人越發喜愛他。

後來婦人生了一個兒子，給他起名叫參孫。孩子長大，耶和華賜福與他。

耶和華按着先前的話眷顧撒拉，便照他所說的給撒拉成就。

撒母耳長大了，耶和華與他同在，使他所說的話一句都不落空。

那孩子漸漸長大，心靈強健，住在曠野，直到他顯明在以色列人面前的日子。

主－以色列的神是應當稱頌的！因他眷顧他的百姓，為他們施行救贖，

次日清早，他們起來，在耶和華面前敬拜，就回拉瑪。到了家裏，以利加拿和妻哈拿同房，耶和華顧念哈拿，哈拿就懷孕。日期滿足，生了一個兒子，給他起名叫撒母耳，說：「這是我從耶和華那裏求來的。」

耶穌的智慧和身量，並神和人喜愛他的心，都一齊增長。
