so he sent men to capture him. But when they saw a group of prophets prophesying, with Samuel standing there as their leader, the Spirit of God came on Saul’s men, and they also prophesied.

So Saul sent some men to capture him. When they got there, they saw a group of prophets who were prophesying. Samuel was standing there as their leader. Then the Spirit of God came on Saul’s men. So they also began to prophesy.

Then Saul sent messengers to take David, and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

法利賽人聞眾議如此、遂與祭司諸長遣役執之、

掃羅與僕至基比亞、有先知一班迎之、上帝之靈大臨掃羅、遂在先知中、感神而言、

厥後、我將以我神、注於凡有血氣者、爾之子女將預言、爾之老者將得夢、爾之幼者見異象、

掃羅遣使守大衛第、待旦殺之、大衛妻米甲告大衛曰、今夕不自救、明日必見殺、

後詣上帝之山、在彼有非利士人之汛、爾既抵邑、必遇先知一班、自崇邱而下、俱感靈而言、有琴鼗簫瑟在其前、耶和華之神必大臨爾、爾則化為新人、同彼感靈而言、

若皆預言、有不信者、或蚩氓入、則為眾所責、為眾所擬、其心之隱微顯露、即伏拜上帝、言上帝誠在爾中矣、○

役復祭司諸長、及法利賽人、僉曰、何不曳之來乎、對曰、從未有人若是而言也、法利賽人曰、爾亦為所惑乎、有司與法利賽人、有信之者乎、但此眾不識律、見詛矣、中有尼哥底母即昔詣耶穌者、謂之曰、未聽其言、不識其所為、而鞫之、豈我律乎、眾曰、爾亦出自加利利乎、可考而知、無先知自加利利起也、○

預言者乃與人言、建立獎勸安慰也、

耶和華乘雲降臨、與摩西言、以感摩西之神、賦於長老、既已賦之、則感神而言、厥後不復如此、所錄者中有二人、一名伊利達、一名米達、仍居於營、未適會幕、神既賦之、則在營中感神而言、
