掃羅問米甲：「你為什麼欺騙我，讓我的敵人逃走？」米甲答道：「他說如果我不讓他逃走，就殺了我。」

扫罗对米甲说：“你为什么这样欺哄我，放我仇敌逃走呢？”米甲回答说：“他对我说：‘你放我走，不然我要杀你。’”

扫罗对米甲说：“你为什么这样欺骗我，放我仇敌逃走呢？”米甲对扫罗说：“他对我说：‘你放我走吧，我何必要杀你呢？’”

扫罗对米甲说：“你为什么这样欺骗我，放我仇敌逃走呢？”米甲对扫罗说：“他对我说：‘你放我走吧，我何必要杀你呢？’”

扫罗问米甲：“你为什么欺骗我，让我的敌人逃走？”米甲答道：“他说如果我不让他逃走，就杀了我。”

掃羅對米甲說：「你為甚麼這樣欺哄我，放我仇敵逃走呢？」米甲回答說：「他對我說：『你放我走，不然我要殺你。』」

掃羅問米甲：“你為甚麼這樣欺騙我，放了我的仇敵，讓他逃走呢？”米甲回答掃羅：“他對我說：‘放我走！否則我要殺死你。’”

掃羅對米甲說：『你為甚麼這樣哄騙我，放我的仇敵逃走呢？』米甲回答掃羅說：『他對我說：「你放我走；不然，我就殺死你」；何必呢？』

掃羅問米甲：「你為什麼這樣欺騙我，放走我的仇敵，讓他逃脫呢？」米甲回答掃羅：「他對我說：『放我走！我何必殺你呢？』」

掃羅謂米甲曰、何欺我若此、容我敵逃而獲免、米甲對曰、彼云任我去、勿使我殺爾、○

Saul said to Michal,“ Why did you deceive me like this and send my enemy away so that he escaped?” Michal told him,“ He said to me,‘ Let me get away. Why should I kill you?’”

Saul said to Michal,“ Why did you trick me like this? Why did you help my enemy escape?” Michal told him,“ He said to me,‘ Help me get away. If you don’t, I’ll kill you.’ ”

Saul said to Michal,“ Why have you deceived me thus and let my enemy go, so that he has escaped?” And Michal answered Saul,“ He said to me,‘ Let me go. Why should I kill you?’”

“ Why have you betrayed me like this and let my enemy escape?” Saul demanded of Michal.“ I had to,” Michal replied.“ He threatened to kill me if I didn’t help him.”

Saul asked Michal,“ Why did you deceive me like this? You sent my enemy away, and he has escaped!” She answered him,“ He said to me,‘ Let me go! Why should I kill you?’”

So Saul said to Michal,“ Why have you betrayed me like this and let my enemy go, so that he has escaped?” And Michal said to Saul,“ He said to me,‘ Let me go! Why should I put you to death?’ ”

Then Saul said to Michal,“ Why have you deceived me like this, and sent my enemy away, so that he has escaped?” And Michal answered Saul,“ He said to me,‘ Let me go! Why should I kill you?’”

And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou deceived me thus, and let mine enemy go, so that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee?

Saul asked Michal,“ Why did you deceive me like this? You sent my enemy away, and he has escaped!” She answered him,“ He said to me,‘ Let me go! Why should I kill you?’”

And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee?

Saul said to Michal,“ Why have you deceived me this way by sending my enemy away? Now he has escaped!” Michal replied to Saul,“ He said to me,‘ Help me get away or else I will kill you!’”

Saul said to Michal,“ Why have you deceived me like this and let my enemy go, so that he has escaped?” Michal answered Saul,“ He said to me,‘ Let me go! Why should I kill you?’”

押尼珥又對他說：「快走開吧，非逼我殺你嗎？我若殺了你，還有何顏面見你哥哥約押呢？」

押沙龍的部下來到婦人家查問約拿單和亞希瑪斯的下落，婦人說他們已經過河了。押沙龍的部下就去搜索，結果一無所獲，就返回耶路撒冷。

掃羅派人來捉拿大衛的時候，米甲說他病了。

亞哈見了以利亞，說：「我的對頭啊，你又來了！」以利亞說：「我又來了，因為你一心做耶和華視為惡的事。

現在我因為告訴你們真理，就成了你們的仇人嗎？

希律見自己被智者愚弄，大為惱怒，便照著智者所說的時間推算，下令把伯利恆附近兩歲以下的男孩殺光。

但這兩個接生婆敬畏上帝，沒有執行王的命令，而是保留了男嬰的性命。埃及王召見那兩個接生婆，質問她們：「你們為什麼這樣做？為什麼讓男嬰活著？」她們回答說：「因為希伯來婦女跟埃及婦女不同。她們身體強健，我們還沒有趕到，嬰兒就生下來了。」

婦人看見了撒母耳，就驚叫起來，對掃羅說：「你是掃羅，你為什麼騙我呢？」

他就命令身旁的護衛，說：「把這些耶和華的祭司殺掉，因為他們跟大衛同謀，明知道大衛在潛逃，卻不來告訴我。」掃羅的臣僕不願意下手殺害耶和華的祭司。
