扫罗把长矛朝着约拿单掷出去，要击杀他。约拿单就知道，他父亲是决意要杀大卫。

扫罗掷出长矛，心里说：“我要把大卫刺穿，钉在墙上。”但大卫两次都从他面前躲开了。

任何的智慧、聪慧和谋略，都无法在耶和华面前站立得住。

任何为攻击你而造的武器，都必不奏效；任何在审判时起来用舌头攻击你的，都必被你定罪。以上是耶和华仆人们的继业，他们的公义从我而来。”这是耶和华的宣告。

但耶稣从他们中间穿过去，走开了。

他们在这城逼迫你们，你们就逃到别的城去。我确实地告诉你们：在你们走遍以色列的城镇之前，人子必定来临。

原来，他们如果藉着认识我们的主、救主耶稣基督而逃脱这世界的污秽，却又被这些污秽纠缠、制伏了，那么，他们最后的情况就比先前更坏了；因为认识了义的道路以后，背离那交托给他们的神圣诫命，对他们来说，倒不如不认识还好。在他们身上正应验了这真实的俗语：“狗转身回到自己所吐的东西；猪洗干净了又到污泥中打滚。”

于是他们又试图抓耶稣，他却从他们的手中脱离出来。

义人有许多患难，但耶和华解救他脱离这一切，

“有个污灵从一个人身上出来以后，走遍无水之地，寻找安歇的地方，却找不到，就说：‘我要回到我离开的那屋里去。’于是它回去，发现那里空着，已被打扫干净，摆设整齐，就去带了另外七个比自己更邪恶的灵，进去住在那里。那个人最后的情况就比先前更坏了。这邪恶的世代也将是这样。”

他把我从凶猛的仇敌中，从恨我的人那里解救出来，因为他们比我强大。

扫罗听了约拿单的话，就起誓：“我指着耶和华的永生起誓：我绝不杀他。”

我们像雀鸟从设网人的网罗中逃出；那网罗被撕裂，我们就逃脱了！
