The next day an evil spirit from God came forcefully on Saul. He was prophesying in his house, while David was playing the lyre, as he usually did. Saul had a spear in his hand

The next day an evil spirit sent by God came powerfully on Saul. Saul began to prophesy in his house. At that same time David began to play the harp, just as he usually did. Saul was holding a spear.

The next day a harmful spirit from God rushed upon Saul, and he raved within his house while David was playing the lyre, as he did day by day. Saul had his spear in his hand.

The very next day a tormenting spirit from God overwhelmed Saul, and he began to rave in his house like a madman. David was playing the harp, as he did each day. But Saul had a spear in his hand,

The next day an evil spirit sent from God came powerfully on Saul, and he began to rave inside the palace. David was playing the lyre as usual, but Saul was holding a spear,

Now it came about on the next day that an evil spirit from God rushed upon Saul, and he raved in the midst of the house while David was playing the harp with his hand, as usual; and a spear was in Saul’s hand.

And it happened on the next day that the distressing spirit from God came upon Saul, and he prophesied inside the house. So David played music with his hand, as at other times; but there was a spear in Saul’s hand.

And it came to pass on the morrow, that an evil spirit from God came mightily upon Saul, and he prophesied in the midst of the house: and David played with his hand, as he did day by day. And Saul had his spear in his hand;

從耶和華那裡來的惡鬼又臨到掃羅身上；那時掃羅坐在屋裡，手裡拿著槍。大衛正在彈琴，

有一次，我們到祈禱的地方去的時候，一個被巫鬼附著的婢女迎面而來；她行占卜使主人們發了大財。

耶和華說：‘誰去引誘亞哈，使他上基列的拉末陣亡呢？’有說這樣的，有說那樣的。後來有一個靈出來，站在耶和華面前，說：‘我去引誘他。’耶和華問他：‘你用甚麼方法呢？’他回答：‘我要出去，在亞哈所有先知的口中，作說謊的靈。’耶和華說：‘你可以去引誘他，你也必能成功，你去這樣行吧！’現在，耶和華已經把說謊的靈放在你這些先知的口中，耶和華已經命定災禍臨到你。”

每逢從神那裡來的惡鬼臨到掃羅身上的時候，大衛就拿起琴來彈奏，掃羅就舒服暢快，惡鬼也離開了他。

因此，神就使錯謬的思想運行在他們當中，讓他們相信虛謊，

中午過後，他們繼續狂呼亂叫，直到獻晚祭的時候；可是仍沒有聲音，沒有回應，也沒有理睬他們的。

現在求我主我王聽你僕人的話。如果是耶和華激動你攻擊我，願耶和華收納祭物；如果是人激動你，願他們在耶和華面前受咒詛，因為他們今天把我趕出來，不容我在耶和華的產業上有分，說：‘你去服事別的神吧！’

耶和華的靈離開了掃羅。有惡鬼從耶和華那裡來驚擾他。掃羅的臣僕對他說：“看哪！有惡鬼從神那裡來驚擾你。願我們的主吩咐你面前的臣僕，去尋找一位善於彈琴的人；從神那裡來的靈臨到你身上的時候，他可以彈琴，你就好了。”

掃羅就從那裡往拉瑪的拿約去。神的靈也臨到他身上，他一面走，一面受感說話，直到他到了拉瑪的拿約。他脫掉了自己的衣服，也在撒母耳面前受感說話。那一日，他整天整夜赤著身子躺著，因此有一句俗語說：“掃羅也列在先知中嗎？”

“萬軍之耶和華以色列的神這樣說：‘我已經折斷了巴比倫王的軛。在兩年之內，我必把耶和華殿中的一切器皿，就是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒從這地方掠到巴比倫去的，都帶回這地方。我也必把猶大王約雅敬的兒子耶哥尼雅，和所有被擄到巴比倫去的猶大人，都帶回這地方，因為我必折斷巴比倫王的軛。’這是耶和華的宣告。”

哈拿尼雅又當著眾民面前說：“耶和華這樣說：‘兩年之內，我必這樣從列國的頸項上，折斷巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒的軛。’”於是耶利米先知就走了。

“到那日（這是萬軍之耶和華的宣告），我必從這地除掉偶像的名號，它們不再被人記念；我也必從這地除去假先知和污穢的靈。如果有人再說預言，他的親生父母必對他說：‘你不該活著，因為你奉耶和華的名說謊。’他說預言的時候，他的親生父母必把他刺死。“到那日，假先知說預言的時候，每一個都必因自己所論的異象而羞愧；他們必不再穿獸毛衣服欺騙人。那時他必說：‘我不是先知，只是耕地的人；因為我自幼以來，就被賣為奴。’

所有的先知也都這樣預言說：“你可以上基列的拉末去，必得勝利！因為耶和華必把那城交在王的手裡。”
