Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite,[ that is] cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD[ is] with him.

僕人中有一個人回應說：「看哪，我見過伯利恆人耶西的一個兒子，他善於彈琴，又是個有能力的勇士，是個戰士；他言談有智慧，身材健美，又有耶和華與他同在。」

有一少者對曰、我嘗見伯利恆人耶西之子善鼓琴、大勇善戰、慎言語、美姿容、耶和華亦偕之、

一僕曰、我素知伯利恆人耶西之子、善鼓琴、英武善戰、中藏智慧、丰采甚都、為耶和華所佑。

臣僕中一人曰、我曾見伯利恆人耶西之一子、善於鼓琴、英武善戰、行事有謀、容貌俊美、為主所祐、

One of the servants answered,“ I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave man and a warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man. And the Lord is with him.”

One of the servants said,“ I’ve seen someone who knows how to play the harp. He is a son of Jesse from Bethlehem. He’s a brave man. He would make a good soldier. He’s a good speaker. He’s very handsome. And the Lord is with him.”

One of the young men answered,“ Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a man of good presence, and the Lord is with him.”

One of the servants said to Saul,“ One of Jesse’s sons from Bethlehem is a talented harp player. Not only that— he is a brave warrior, a man of war, and has good judgment. He is also a fine looking young man, and the Lord is with him.”

One of the young men answered,“ I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is also a valiant man, a warrior, eloquent, handsome, and the LORD is with him.”

Then one of the young men responded and said,“ Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is a skillful musician, a valiant mighty man, a warrior, skillful in speech, and a handsome man; and the Lord is with him.”

Then one of the servants answered and said,“ Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the Lord is with him.”

Then answered one of the young men, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Beth- lehemite, that is skilful in playing, and a mighty man of valor, and a man of war, and prudent in speech, and a comely person; and Jehovah is with him.

One of the young men answered,“ I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is also a valiant man, a warrior, eloquent, handsome, and the Lord is with him.”

One of his attendants replied,“ I have seen a son of Jesse in Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave warrior and is articulate and handsome, for the LORD is with him.”

Then one of the young men answered, and said,“ Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and Yahweh is with him.”

And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.

And David said to Saul, Let no man’s heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou[ art but] a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered[ it] out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught[ him] by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.

The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing[ that was] under his hand; because the LORD was with him, and[ that] which he did, the LORD made[ it] to prosper.

And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

And he also[ that is] valiant, whose heart[ is] as the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: for all Israel knoweth that thy father[ is] a mighty man, and[ they] which[ be] with him[ are] valiant men.

And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee,[ that] thou do as occasion serve thee; for God[ is] with thee.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway,[ even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

To fetch about this form of speech hath thy servant Joab done this thing: and my lord[ is] wise, according to the wisdom of an angel of God, to know all[ things] that[ are] in the earth.

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they[ be] mighty men, and they[ be] chafed in their minds, as a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father[ is] a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.

And Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul.Therefore Saul removed him from him, and made him his captain over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people.And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the LORD[ was] with him.
