And the city shall be accursed,[ even] it, and all that[ are] therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that[ are] with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.And ye, in any wise keep[ yourselves] from the accursed thing, lest ye make[ yourselves] accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron,[ are] consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD.So the people shouted when[ the priests] blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.And they utterly destroyed all that[ was] in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword.

Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.

Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that[ is] therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God[ am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth[ generation] of them that hate me;

Notwithstanding no devoted thing, that a man shall devote unto the LORD of all that he hath,[ both] of man and beast, and of the field of his possession, shall be sold or redeemed: every devoted thing[ is] most holy unto the LORD.None devoted, which shall be devoted of men, shall be redeemed;[ but] shall surely be put to death.

For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected[ the same] in hope,Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
