那时米甸人、亚玛力人和所有的东方人，都散布在平原上，好像蝗虫那么多；他们的骆驼无数，好像海边的沙那么多。

我使他们寡妇的数目比海沙还多；我使行毁灭的在午间临到我的子民，打击年轻人的母亲，使痛苦的惊恐忽然临到她们身上。

撒玛利亚的居民必因伯．亚文的牛犊而惧怕；拜牛犊的人民必为它哀恸。拜牛犊的祭司必为它哀号，都因它的荣耀离开它而被掳去了。
