主已為爾立王、爾所求所選之王在此、如爾敬畏主、奉事主、聽主之言、不違主之命、則爾與治爾之王、必蒙主爾天主之引導、如爾不聽主之言、違主之命、則主必降災於爾、如昔降災於爾列祖然、

民不聽從撒母耳之言、曰、不然、我必欲得王治理我、

今非麥秋乎、我呼籲主、主必使雷震雨降、令爾知、今爾見、爾之求王、實為大惡於主前、

昔爾求我云、願為我設立王公、或作昔爾求我云願為我設王為我立侯伯今爾王安在、治理爾者安在、何不在爾諸邑救護爾、我怒以王賜爾、我怒以王廢之、
