曰、治爾之王、其制度若此、必取爾子、使御車、為騎兵、趨於車前、或立為千夫長、五十夫長、或使耕其田、穫其穡、作其戰具、造其車器、亦取爾女、使為製香品者、為廚婢、為膳女、又取爾至嘉之田畝、葡萄園、橄欖園、以賜其臣僕、爾種所生、及葡萄園所產、十取其一、以供其宦豎、與其臣僕、且取爾僕婢、及少年之壯者、與爾之驢、以供其役、爾之羊羣、十取其一、爾必為之僕隸、是時爾必因所簡之王而呼籲、惟耶和華不俞允焉、

既至爾上帝耶和華所錫之地、據而居之、意謂必立王以治我、如四周之國然、則必以爾上帝耶和華所選者、立之為王、必爾同儕方可、外族之人不可治爾、王勿增馬、勿使民返埃及、以增其馬、蓋耶和華曾諭爾曰、不可復往此途、毋多置妃嬪、恐致心偏、毋廣積金銀、既登國位、當從利未人祭司所存之法律、錄為一册、置於其側、畢生誦之、以習寅畏其上帝耶和華、遵守法律之言、及厥典章、免其對於昆弟、中心驕矜、違此誡命、偏於左右、則可延年於國、在以色列中、爰及子孫、

爾提撕彼眾、當服有位有權者而順從之、以備諸善、

主耶和華曰、如君錫物於子、則為子有、以為恆業、若以產業錫於臣僕、則為彼有、越屆豁免之年、乃歸於君、惟君之業、必歸於子、君欲錫土於子、必取畿輔予之、勿逐民出其業、免我民失業而星散、○

秉權者、眾宜服之、蓋無權非由上帝、諸權皆上帝所命也、故與秉權者抗、乃拒上帝命、拒者自取鞫也、蓋有司非行善者所畏、乃行惡者所畏耳、爾欲弗畏權、惟行善則得其褒、蓋彼為上帝之役、以益爾、爾若行惡則畏之、以其非徒佩劍、乃為上帝役、以怒加諸行惡者、故須服之、不惟因怒、亦因良心也、是以爾亦輸稅、蓋彼乃上帝之有司、恆執斯役、所宜與者與之、稅則納之、征則輸之、畏則畏之、敬則敬之、○

為主故、服人諸制、或在上之王、或王所遣罰惡彰善之方伯、

為諸王及一切在位者、俾我儕虔敬莊重、和平安靜以度光陰、

主耶和華曰、以色列君乎、斯已足矣、強暴苛虐、爾其去之、秉公行義、勿復佔據民業、主耶和華言之矣、當有公權、公伊法、公罷特、
