Those who had known Saul before saw him prophesying with the prophets. They asked one another,“ What has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also one of the prophets?”

素識掃羅者、見其同先知感靈而言、則相語曰、基士之子何所遇耶、掃羅亦在先知中乎、

素識掃羅者、見其如是、則相語曰、基士之子掃羅、其何所遇而在先知中乎。

素識掃羅之民、見其偕先知感神而言、則相語曰、基士子何所遇、掃羅亦列於先知中乎、

When all those who had formerly known him saw him prophesying with the prophets, they asked each other,“ What is this that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”

And when all who knew him previously saw how he prophesied with the prophets, the people said to one another,“ What has come over the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”

When those who knew Saul heard about it, they exclaimed,“ What? Is even Saul a prophet? How did the son of Kish become a prophet?”

Everyone who knew him previously and saw him prophesy with the prophets asked each other,“ What has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”

And it came about, when all who previously knew him saw that he was indeed prophesying with the prophets, that the people said to one another,“ What is this that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”

And it happened, when all who knew him formerly saw that he indeed prophesied among the prophets, that the people said to one another,“ What is this that has come upon the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”

And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied with the prophets, then the people said one to another, What is this that is come unto the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?

Everyone who knew him previously and saw him prophesy with the prophets asked each other,“ What has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”

And it came to pass, when all that knew him beforetime saw that, behold, he prophesied among the prophets, then the people said one to another, What[ is] this[ that] is come unto the son of Kish?[ Is] Saul also among the prophets?

When everyone who had known him previously saw him prophesying with the prophets, the people all asked one another,“ What on earth has happened to the son of Kish? Does even Saul belong with the prophets?”

When all who knew him before saw that, behold, he prophesied with the prophets, then the people said to one another,“ What is this that has come to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”

There he took off his clothes. Then he also prophesied in front of Samuel. He lay there without his clothes on all that day and night. That’s why people say,“ Is Saul also one of the prophets?”

The Jews there were amazed. They asked,“ How did this man learn so much without being taught?”

He came to his hometown of Nazareth. There he began teaching the people in their synagogue. They were amazed.“ Where did this man get this wisdom? Where did he get this power to do miracles?” they asked.“ Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary? Aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas?

They recognized him as the same man who used to sit and beg at the temple gate called Beautiful. They were filled with wonder. They were amazed at what had happened to him.

All who heard him were amazed. They asked,“ Isn’t he the man who caused great trouble in Jerusalem? Didn’t he make trouble for those who worship Jesus? Hasn’t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?”

The crowd was really amazed. They asked,“ Aren’t all these people who are speaking Galileans?Then why do we each hear them speaking in our own native language?

The leaders saw how bold Peter and John were. They also realized that Peter and John were ordinary men with no training. This surprised the leaders. They realized that these men had been with Jesus.

His neighbors and people who had seen him earlier begging asked questions.“ Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?” they asked.Some claimed that he was. Others said,“ No. He only looks like him.” But the man who had been blind kept saying,“ I am the man.”
