Finally her husband Elkanah said to her,“ Hannah, why do you weep and not eat? Why are you so sad? Am I not better to you than ten sons?”

她丈夫以利加拿对她说：“哈拿啊，你为何哭泣，不吃饭，心里愁闷呢？有我不比十个儿子还好吗？”

她丈夫以利加拿对她说：“哈拿，你为何哭泣？为何不吃饭？为何伤心难过呢？有我不比有十个儿子更好吗？”

她丈夫以利加拿对她说：“哈拿，你为何哭泣？为何不吃饭？为何伤心难过呢？有我不比有十个儿子更好吗？”

她的丈夫以利加拿对她说：“哈娜，你为什么哭？为什么不吃饭？为什么心里难过？有我不是比有十个儿子更好吗？”

她的丈夫以利加拿对她说：“哈拿，你为什么哭泣？为什么不吃饭，为什么心里难过呢？你有我不是比有十个儿子更好吗？”

她的丈夫以利加拿就对她说：“哈娜，你为什么哭泣，为什么不吃饭，为什么心里愁烦呢？对你来说，有我难道不比有十个儿子更好吗？”

她丈夫以利加拿對她說：「哈拿啊，你為何哭泣，不吃飯，心裏愁悶呢？有我不比十個兒子還好嗎？」

她丈夫以利加拿對她說：「哈拿，你為何哭泣？為何不吃飯？為何傷心難過呢？有我不比有十個兒子更好嗎？」

她丈夫以利加拿對她說：「哈拿，你為何哭泣？為何不吃飯？為何傷心難過呢？有我不比有十個兒子更好嗎？」

她的丈夫以利加拿對她說：「哈娜，你為什麼哭？為什麼不吃飯？為什麼心裡難過？有我不是比有十個兒子更好嗎？」

她的丈夫以利加拿對她說：“哈拿，你為甚麼哭泣？為甚麼不吃飯，為甚麼心裡難過呢？你有我不是比有十個兒子更好嗎？”

她的丈夫以利加拿對她說：『哈拿啊，你為甚麼哭？為甚麼不喫飯？為甚麼心裏難過呢？在你看，我不是比十個兒子還好麼？』

她的丈夫以利加拿就對她說：「哈娜，你為什麼哭泣，為什麼不吃飯，為什麼心裡愁煩呢？對你來說，有我難道不比有十個兒子更好嗎？」

其夫以利加拿謂之曰、哈拿、奚為哭而不食、中心愀然哉、我之於爾、非愈於十子乎、

以利迦拿謂之曰、哈拿何為哭而不食、中心愀然哉。我之與爾非愈於十子乎。

夫以利加拿謂之曰、哈拿、因何哭泣、因何不食、因何中心憂鬱、我之與爾不愈於十子乎、

Her husband Elkanah would say to her,“ Hannah, why are you weeping? Why don’t you eat? Why are you downhearted? Don’t I mean more to you than ten sons?”

Her husband Elkanah would say to her,“ Hannah, why are you crying? Why don’t you eat? Why are you so unhappy? Don’t I mean more to you than ten sons?”

And Elkanah, her husband, said to her,“ Hannah, why do you weep? And why do you not eat? And why is your heart sad? Am I not more to you than ten sons?”

“ Why are you crying, Hannah?” Elkanah would ask.“ Why aren’t you eating? Why be downhearted just because you have no children? You have me— isn’t that better than having ten sons?”

“ Hannah, why are you crying?” her husband, Elkanah, would ask.“ Why won’t you eat? Why are you troubled? Am I not better to you than ten sons?”

Then Elkanah her husband would say to her,“ Hannah, why do you weep, and why do you not eat, and why is your heart sad? Am I not better to you than ten sons?”

Then Elkanah her husband said to her,“ Hannah, why do you weep? Why do you not eat? And why is your heart grieved? Am I not better to you than ten sons?”

And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?

“ Hannah, why are you crying?” her husband Elkanah asked.“ Why won’t you eat? Why are you troubled? Am I not better to you than 10 sons?”

Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved?[ am] not I better to thee than ten sons?

Elkanah her husband said to her,“ Hannah, why do you weep? Why don’t you eat? Why is your heart grieved? Am I not better to you than ten sons?”

He will encourage you and provide for you when you are old, for your daughter-in-law, who loves you, has given him birth. She is better to you than seven sons!”

Jesus said to her,“ Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?” Because she thought he was the gardener, she said to him,“ Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will take him.”

“ Indeed, the LORD will call you back like a wife who has been abandoned and suffers from depression, like a young wife when she has been rejected,” says your God.

“ To the one in despair, kindness should come from his friend even if he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

They said to her,“ Woman, why are you weeping?” Mary replied,“ They have taken my Lord away, and I do not know where they have put him!”

Then David prayed to God for the child and fasted. He would even go and spend the night lying on the ground.The elders of his house stood over him and tried to lift him from the ground, but he was unwilling, and refused to eat food with them.

And we urge you, brothers and sisters, admonish the undisciplined, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient toward all.

Then I will go to the altar of God, to the God who gives me ecstatic joy, so that I express my thanks to you, O God, my God, with a harp.

“ Shout for joy, O barren one who has not given birth! Give a joyful shout and cry out, you who have not been in labor! For the children of the desolate one are more numerous than the children of the married woman,” says the LORD.

Hazael asked,“ Why are you crying, my master?” He replied,“ Because I know the trouble you will cause the Israelites. You will set fire to their fortresses, kill their young men with the sword, smash their children to bits, and rip open their pregnant women.”
