So her husband Elkanah said to her,“ Do what you think best. Stay until you have weaned him. May the LORD fulfill his promise.” So the woman stayed and nursed her son until she had weaned him.

“ Do what seems best to you,” her husband Elkanah told her.“ Stay here until you have weaned him; only may the Lord make good his word.” So the woman stayed at home and nursed her son until she had weaned him.

Her husband Elkanah told her,“ Do what you think is best. Stay here at home until Samuel doesn’t need you to breast- feed him anymore. May the Lord make his promise to you come true.” So Hannah stayed home. She breast- fed her son until he didn’t need her milk anymore.

Elkanah her husband said to her,“ Do what seems best to you; wait until you have weaned him; only, may the Lord establish his word.” So the woman remained and nursed her son until she weaned him.

“ Whatever you think is best,” Elkanah agreed.“ Stay here for now, and may the Lord help you keep your promise.” So she stayed home and nursed the boy until he was weaned.

Her husband, Elkanah, replied,“ Do what you think is best, and stay here until you’ve weaned him. May the LORD confirm your word.” So Hannah stayed there and nursed her son until she weaned him.

Elkanah her husband said to her,“ Do what seems best to you. Stay until you have weaned him; only may the Lord confirm His word.” So the woman stayed and nursed her son until she weaned him.

So Elkanah her husband said to her,“ Do what seems best to you; wait until you have weaned him. Only let the Lord establish His word.” Then the woman stayed and nursed her son until she had weaned him.

And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only Jehovah establish his word. So the woman tarried and gave her son suck, until she weaned him.

Her husband Elkanah replied,“ Do what you think is best, and stay here until you’ve weaned him. May the Lord confirm your word.” So Hannah stayed there and nursed her son until she weaned him.

And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only the LORD establish his word. So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him.

Elkanah her husband said to her,“ Do what seems good to you. Wait until you have weaned him; only may Yahweh establish his word.” So the woman waited and nursed her son until she weaned him.

So now, O LORD God, make this promise you have made about your servant and his family a permanent reality. Do as you promised,

Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing their babies in those days!

Eli replied,“ Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant the request that you have asked of him.”

who fulfills the oracles of his prophetic servants and brings to pass the announcements of his messengers, who says about Jerusalem,‘ She will be inhabited,’ and about the towns of Judah,‘ They will be rebuilt, her ruins I will raise up,’

and her husband hears about it, but remains silent about her when he hears about it, then her vows will stand and her obligations which she has pledged for herself will stand.But if when her husband hears it he overrules her, then he will nullify the vow she has taken, and whatever she uttered impulsively which she has pledged for herself. And the LORD will release her from it.“ But every vow of a widow or of a divorced woman which she has pledged for herself will remain intact.If she made the vow in her husband’s house or put herself under obligation with an oath,and her husband heard about it, but remained silent about her, and did not overrule her, then all her vows will stand, and every obligation which she pledged for herself will stand.

As he said these things, a woman in the crowd spoke out to him,“ Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts at which you nursed!”

Yes, you are the one who brought me out from the womb and made me feel secure on my mother’s breasts.

She went on to say,“ Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have given birth to a son for him in his old age!”The child grew and was weaned. Abraham prepared a great feast on the day that Isaac was weaned.
