是以福音曾宣於死者、使其身如人而受鞫、其靈依上帝而得生、○

已死之人、曾聞福音、其身為人所害、其神為上帝所救、

且已亡之人、亦何為能聞福音乎？蓋使若輩身雖因人而死、靈則得以托主而生耳。

For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead, so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.

That’s why the good news was preached even to people who are now dead. It was preached to them for two reasons. It was preached so that their bodies might be judged. This judgment is made by human standards. But the good news was also preached so that their spirits might live. This life comes by means of God’s power.

For this is why the gospel was preached even to those who are dead, that though judged in the flesh the way people are, they might live in the spirit the way God does.

That is why the Good News was preached to those who are now dead— so although they were destined to die like all people, they now live forever with God in the Spirit.

For this reason the gospel was also preached to those who are now dead, so that, although they might be judged in the flesh according to human standards, they might live in the spirit according to God’s standards.

因为圣灵的生命法则，在基督耶稣里把你从罪和死的法则中释放了出来。

其实，我们从前也是无知、悖逆、被迷惑的，做各种欲望和享乐的奴仆，活在恶毒和嫉妒中，是可憎恶的，又彼此相恨。但是，当神我们救主的仁慈和他对人的爱显明的时候，他拯救了我们；这不是本于我们所做的义行，而是照着他的怜悯，藉着重生的洗涤和圣灵的更新。神藉着我们的救主耶稣基督，将圣灵丰丰富富地倾注在我们身上，使我们藉着他的恩典被称为义，可以照着永恒生命的盼望成为继承人。

我们从前也都生活在他们中间，生活在自己肉体的欲望里，行肉体和意念所愿的事。我们正如其他人，生来也是震怒之下的儿女。不过神有丰富的怜悯，因着他爱我们的大爱，甚至当我们还死在过犯中的时候，就使我们与基督一同活过来——你们得救是藉着恩典！

但既然神的灵真是住在你们里面，你们就不属于肉体，而属于圣灵了。不过如果有人没有基督的灵，这个人就不属于基督了。但如果基督在你们里面，那么，你们的身体虽然因罪是死的，灵却因义是活的；不但如此，使耶稣从死人中复活的那一位——他的灵如果住在你们里面，那么，使基督从死人中复活的那一位，也将藉着住在你们里面的圣灵，使你们会死的身体得着生命。

藉着灵，他也曾去传道给那些被监禁的灵魂，

“我确确实实地告诉你们：时候就要到了，现在就是了！当死人听见神儿子的声音时，听到的人就将活了。原来，父怎样在自己里面有生命，也照样使子在自己里面有生命；

所以，基督既然在肉身上受过苦，你们也应该以同样的心志装备自己，因为那在肉身上受过苦的，就已经与罪断绝了，以致不再顺着人的欲望，而是顺着神的旨意，在世上度余下的时间。

但如果我们省察自己，就不会受惩罚；即使我们受惩罚，也是在受主的管教，免得我们和这世界一同被定罪。

我们既然藉着圣灵而活，就让我们靠着圣灵行走。

“那时，他们将要出卖你们，使你们受患难，甚至杀害你们。为了我的名，你们将被万民憎恨。

另一位天使从祭坛那里出来，是有权柄统管火的；他对那位拿着锋利镰刀的大声呼唤说：“伸出你那锋利的镰刀，收取地上葡萄树累累的果子吧！因为葡萄已经熟了。”

原来藉着律法，我已经向律法死了，使我能向神活着。我已经和基督一起被钉十字架，
