夫過去之日、與世俗同流合污、放縱恣肆、沈湎酒色、崇拜偶像、不已足乎？

因为往日随从外邦人的心意行邪淫、恶欲、醉酒、荒宴、群饮，并可恶拜偶像的事，时候已经够了。

因为你们从前随从外邦人的心意，生活在淫荡、情欲、醉酒、荒宴、狂饮和可憎的偶像崇拜中，时候已经够了。

因为你们从前随从外邦人的心意，生活在淫荡、情欲、醉酒、荒宴、狂饮和可憎的偶像崇拜中，时候已经够了。

你们从前长期沉溺于异教徒的嗜好——淫乱、纵欲、醉酒、狂欢、宴乐和可憎的偶像崇拜。

因为你们过去随从教外人的心意，行邪淫、私欲、醉酒、荒宴、狂饮和可憎拜偶像的事，时候已经够了。

要知道，过往的日子，你们做了外邦人愿意做的事，活在好色、私欲、酗酒、荒宴、狂饮和律法所禁止的拜偶像之中——这已经够了。

因為往日隨從外邦人的心意行邪淫、惡慾、醉酒、荒宴、羣飲，並可惡拜偶像的事，時候已經夠了。

因為你們從前隨從外邦人的心意，生活在淫蕩、情慾、醉酒、荒宴、狂飲和可憎的偶像崇拜中，時候已經夠了。

因為你們從前隨從外邦人的心意，生活在淫蕩、情慾、醉酒、荒宴、狂飲和可憎的偶像崇拜中，時候已經夠了。

你們從前長期沉溺於異教徒的嗜好——淫亂、縱慾、醉酒、狂歡、宴樂和可憎的偶像崇拜。

因為你們過去隨從教外人的心意，行邪淫、私慾、醉酒、荒宴、狂飲和可憎拜偶像的事，時候已經夠了。

在過去的時光，你們作出外國人所執意作的，行於邪蕩、私慾、沉醉、荒宴、狂飲、和違例可憎之偶像崇拜、已經夠了。

要知道，過往的日子，你們做了外邦人願意做的事，活在好色、私慾、酗酒、荒宴、狂飲和律法所禁止的拜偶像之中——這已經夠了。

爾往時從異邦人之欲、而行邪侈、縱恣、沉湎、荒宴、盤樂、及違理拜像之事亦足矣、

我生斯世、從異邦人之俗亦至矣、邪侈縱欲、沉湎、蕩檢、饕餮過度、及拜偶像、尤非所宜、

我從異邦人之意、邪侈、縱慾、放飲、饕餮、沈湎、更行拜偶像可憎之事、往時如是已足矣、

For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do— living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry.

You have spent enough time in the past doing what ungodly people choose to do. You lived a wild life. You longed for evil things. You got drunk. You went to wild parties. You worshiped statues of gods, which the Lord hates.

For the time that is past suffices for doing what the Gentiles want to do, living in sensuality, passions, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and lawless idolatry.

You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy— their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols.

For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the Gentiles choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry.

For the time already past is sufficient for you to have carried out the desire of the Gentiles, having pursued a course of indecent behavior, lusts, drunkenness, carousing, drinking parties, and wanton idolatries.

For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles— when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries.

For the time past may suffice to have wrought the desire of the Gentiles, and to have walked in lasciviousness, lusts, winebibbings, revellings, carousings, and abominable idolatries:

For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the pagans choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry.

For the time past of[ our] life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:

For the time that has passed was sufficient for you to do what the non- Christians desire. You lived then in debauchery, evil desires, drunkenness, carousing, drinking bouts, and wanton idolatries.

For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.

切勿縱情恣慾、如異邦不識天主者所為也、凡因縱情、

爾中以前亦有屬此類者、今則已賴吾主耶穌基督之名及天主聖神之恩、而洗滌夙穢且受聖而復義矣。

勿酗酒而蕩檢、當醉心於聖神；

吾為主故、剴切勸爾、毋復行異邦人之所行、意志虛妄、理智昏昧、冥頑不靈、而自絕於天主之生命。蓋若輩良心既泯、宜其縱情恣慾、甘處下流、

迷惑異端、嫉妒殘殺、沉醉荒宴等類皆是。吾夙已言之、今復鄭重相告、凡行此等事者、必不得承受天主之國也。

昔在蒙昧之世、天主尚予優容、今已檄曉人群、咸當幡然悔改、

夫情慾之事、亦顯而易見也；凡姦非污濁、淫蕩奢侈、

婦人披紫着朱、飾金珠寶石、手執金樽、樽中滿貯淫亂眾穢、及無恥之事；額上題名曰：

與世俗同流合污、聽命於塵氛中之魔王。魔王者、即至今猶在悖逆心中活動之邪神也。吾輩過去亦在悖逆之列、縱情恣慾、為所欲為、原屬觸怒之子、與外邦人為一丘之貉。

務為天主之孝子、毋復縱情恣慾、一如昔日未聞道時之所為也。

而比來頗有不肖之徒、混入同道之中、假我天主之洪恩、以恣其私慾、明目張膽、否認吾人之唯一真宰、唯一真主耶穌基督。此輩大逆不道、實地獄中人也。

更恐吾來時、天主令我汗顏無地、蓋一見諸犯奸邪淫亂之徒、尚未幡然悔改、吾能不為之號咷大哭乎哉？

穿窬、貪婪、乖戾、欺詐、邪色、嫉妒、訕主、驕傲、狂妄、

爾當猶憶昔為外教人時、如何溺於習俗、惑於無靈之偶像。

蓋自有世以來、天主形而上之神性靈德、實可憑其所造之萬物而辨認洞見也。然則世人亦烏得而推諉乎？夫既知有天主矣乃又不以天主事之、而頌詠稱謝焉；復因鑿空蹈虛、流連忘返、以致其冥頑之心、淪於重昏。若輩自誇明哲、轉成下愚；忍棄永生者天主之真榮、而易以必朽者人類禽獸蛇蟲之偶像。因是天主亦聽其縱情恣慾、淪於污穢、互辱其身。夫永遠可頌者、天主也、此輩乃捨真逐妄、信奉受造之物、而不景仰造化之主。故天主聽其放僻邪侈、荒淫無度；婦女以順性之行、變為逆性之施；男與男之間亦然、當嗜慾中熾、乃棄婦女順性之行、而逆行穢褻無恥之事；此為去順效逆、其身必食悖逆之惡果耳。若輩既冥頑不靈、心棄天主、則天主亦愛莫能助、於是聽其昧心恣行、淫邪貪狠、不義充身、乃至鬥殺成性、嫉妒為心、詭詐險毒、讒言詆行、目無天主、傲慢驕矜、敗風壞俗、不順其親、其無知、無信、無義、無仁、亦已甚矣。夫若輩非不知天主之命、凡此惡行、論罪當死、但其非惟以身試之、抑且以策人於惡為樂焉。

以期優遊於光天化日之下乎？醉生夢死、沉湎酒色、嫉妒鬥狠、皆非所宜。

故兄弟應知吾人既不為肉身之役、自無順從情慾之責。爾如從欲、取死之道也。存神去欲、得生之道也。

蓋吾人從前亦昏昧悖逆、徬徨岐途、縱情恣慾、險狠媢嫉；己實可惡、而轉以惡人。
