If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.

Suppose people say bad things about you because you believe in Christ. Then you are blessed, because God’s Spirit rests on you. He is the Spirit of glory.

為我而受人詬誶窘逐、惡言誹謗者福矣、

人緣我名、以是加爾、不識遣我者故也、

爾受枉、緣上帝而忍之、則可嘉矣、爾有過、見撻而忍受之、亦何足褒、若爾行善、反遘艱辛、能忍、則為上帝所嘉、

猶太人見眾、嫉之益甚、詰難保羅、誹而誚之、

吾為基督、以荏弱、凌辱、災害、窘逐、阨窮、為喜、蓋吾柔時反能矣、

耶和華兮、爾曾沐我以膏、敵人謗讟予、與謗讟爾無異兮、

能忍者、我以為福、爾聞約百之忍、知主於其後、憐憫矜恤之、

諳悉仁義、服膺我法者、宜聽我言、人侮慢爾、爾勿畏葸。

眾曰、爾生而有罪、反教我乎、遂逐之、

爾在異邦、當善所為、異邦人素謗爾為惡、今察爾善行、迄上帝眷顧彼之日、彼自讚美上帝、

耶和華乘雲降臨、與摩西言、以感摩西之神賦於長老、神既賦之、則感神而言、厥後不能常若此。所錄者中有二人、一名利達、一名米達、仍居於營、不適會幕、神既賦之、則在營中、感神而言。

猶太人敵而誚之、保羅拂衣、曰、爾而沉淪、罪在爾、我無尤焉、是後、我適異邦人矣、○

爾群臣、爾僕役、恆侍於爾前、聞爾智慧、甚有福祉。

眾詬之曰、爾乃其門徒、我儕則摩西門徒、

自謂為基督受詬誶、較埃及獲利倍蓰、望賞賚故也、

不能壽世而體不朽兮、

人得赦其過、而蓋其愆者、福兮、人不為耶和華所罪、其心無偽者、福兮、

先知之徒、在耶利哥、見此則曰、以利亞所感之神、臨格以利沙。遂迓之、俯伏於地、

當日主必臨、受榮於厥聖徒、見異於諸信士、爾信吾道亦若是、為此、我儕常為爾祈禱、望我上帝鑒爾、可得此福、盡厥善意、助爾信主力行、賴吾上帝、主耶穌基督恩、俾吾主耶穌基督以爾榮、爾以彼榮、

猶太人曰、我言爾為撒馬利亞人、鬼所憑者、豈不然乎、

𠵽唎㘔人曰、爾曹亦為所惑乎、有司與𠵽唎㘔人、有信之者乎、但此眾不識律、可詛也、中有尼哥底母、曾夜就耶穌者、謂𠵽唎㘔人曰、未聽訟、不識其所為、我律豈罪之、曰、爾亦來自加利利乎、可考而知、無先知由加利利起也、

如是、爾光當照乎人、俾見爾善行、歸榮爾天父焉、○

故為我歸榮上帝矣、

彼見爾不蕩檢踰閑、與彼相同、則異而謗爾、然至上帝審判生死時、彼亦必見鞫、

眾見有人聽從其妄、因而訕謗真道、

耶和華之神賦之、使有智慧、使有謀力、知耶和華之道而寅畏之、
