For this finds God’s favor, if because of conscience toward God someone endures hardships in suffering unjustly.

因為人如果為了在神面前良心的緣故，在不公正的苦害中忍受憂患，這是可稱讚的；

緣有對上帝之良、雖受枉而忍憂、則見納矣、

爾受枉、緣上帝而忍之、則可嘉矣、

人具良心畏天主、受枉而能忍、或作人受屈枉因天主而忍之是為可嘉、

凡橫逆之來、如能懷念天主而忍受之、斯可嘉矣。

For what credit is it if you sin and are mistreated and endure it? But if you do good and suffer and so endure, this finds favor with God.

But they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they do not know the one who sent me.

But in fact, if you happen to suffer for doing what is right, you are blessed. But do not be terrified of them or be shaken.But set Christ apart as Lord in your hearts and always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope you possess.Yet do it with courtesy and respect, keeping a good conscience, so that those who slander your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame when they accuse you.For it is better to suffer for doing good, if God wills it, than for doing evil.

All your commands are reliable. I am pursued without reason. Help me!

Those who hate me without cause are more numerous than the hairs of my head. Those who want to destroy me, my enemies for no reason, outnumber me. They make me repay what I did not steal!
