蓋爾之新生、非萌自可朽之種子、乃藉永生天主之聖道、而萌於不朽之種子也。

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

You have been born again by means of the living word of God. His word lasts forever. You were not born again from a seed that will die. You were born from a seed that can’t die.

願頌讚歸與我們主耶穌基督的父神！他曾照自己的大憐憫，藉耶穌基督從死裏復活，重生了我們，叫我們有活潑的盼望，

神的道是活潑的，是有功效的，比一切兩刃的劍更快，甚至魂與靈，骨節與骨髓，都能刺入、剖開，連心中的思念和主意都能辨明。

這必朽壞的總要變成不朽壞的，這必死的總要變成不死的。這必朽壞的既變成不朽壞的，這必死的既變成不死的，那時經上所記「死被得勝吞滅」的話就應驗了。

這等人不是從血氣生的，不是從情慾生的，也不是從人意生的，乃是從神生的。

耶穌回答說：「我實實在在地告訴你，人若不重生，就不能見神的國。」

耶穌說：「我實實在在地告訴你，人若不是從水和聖靈生的，就不能進神的國。

叫人活着的乃是靈，肉體是無益的。我對你們所說的話就是靈，就是生命。

惟有主的道是永存的。所傳給你們的福音就是這道。

我們知道凡從神生的，必不犯罪，從神生的，必保守自己，那惡者也就無法害他。

天地要廢去，我的話卻不能廢去。」

他按自己的旨意，用真道生了我們，叫我們在他所造的萬物中好像初熟的果子。

萬物是藉着他造的；凡被造的，沒有一樣不是藉着他造的。

將不能朽壞之神的榮耀變為偶像，彷彿必朽壞的人和飛禽、走獸、昆蟲的樣式。

得夢的先知可以述說那夢；得我話的人可以誠實講說我的話。糠粃怎能與麥子比較呢？這是耶和華說的。」

我必斥責你們的種子，又把你們犧牲的糞抹在你們的臉上；你們要與糞一同除掉。
