人必说：‘因为此地的人离弃领他们祖先出埃及地的耶和华—他们的上帝，去亲近别神，敬拜事奉它们，所以耶和华使这一切灾祸临到他们。’”

人必回答說：『是因此地的人離棄領他們列祖出埃及地之耶和華－他們的神，去親近別神，事奉敬拜他，所以耶和華使這一切災禍臨到他們。』」

人必說：『因為此地的人離棄領他們祖先出埃及地的耶和華－他們的上帝，去親近別神，敬拜事奉它們，所以耶和華使這一切災禍臨到他們。』」

則將應之曰、昔其上帝耶和華、導其列祖出埃及、彼乃棄之、歸向他神、崇拜奉事之、故降是災於彼、○

則必答曰、昔其上帝耶和華、導其列祖出於埃及、彼乃違逆、反簡他上帝、奉事崇拜、故耶和華降以是災。

則必答曰、緣斯民棄主其天主、昔導其列祖出伊及者、親暱他神、奉事崇拜、故主降以是災、○

People will answer,‘ Because they have forsaken the Lord their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, worshiping and serving them— that is why the Lord brought all this disaster on them.’”

People will answer,‘ Because they have deserted the Lord their God. He brought out of Egypt their people of long ago. But they have been holding on to other gods. They’ve been worshiping them. They’ve been serving them. That’s why the Lord has brought all this horrible trouble on them.’ ”

Then they will say,‘ Because they abandoned the Lord their God who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt and laid hold on other gods and worshiped them and served them. Therefore the Lord has brought all this disaster on them.’”

“ And the answer will be,‘ Because his people abandoned the Lord their God, who brought their ancestors out of Egypt, and they worshiped other gods instead and bowed down to them. That is why the Lord has brought all these disasters on them.’”

Then they will say,“ Because they abandoned the LORD their God who brought their ancestors out of the land of Egypt. They held on to other gods and bowed in worship to them and served them. Because of this, the LORD brought all this ruin on them.”

And they will say,‘ Because they abandoned the Lord their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and they adopted other gods and worshiped and served them, for that reason the Lord has brought all this adversity on them.’ ”

Then they will answer,‘ Because they forsook the Lord their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore the Lord has brought all this calamity on them.’”

and they shall answer, Because they forsook Jehovah their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath Jehovah brought all this evil upon them.

Then they will say: Because they abandoned the Lord their God who brought their ancestors out of the land of Egypt. They clung to other gods and worshiped and served them. Because of this, the Lord brought all this ruin on them.

And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

Others will then answer,‘ Because they abandoned the LORD their God, who led their ancestors out of Egypt. They embraced other gods whom they worshiped and served. That is why the LORD has brought all this disaster down on them.’”

and they will answer,‘ Because they abandoned Yahweh their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them, and served them. Therefore Yahweh has brought all this evil on them.’”

耶利米啊，如果有人問，『為什麼我們的上帝耶和華這樣待我們？』你可以對他們說，『你們怎樣背棄耶和華，在自己的土地上供奉外族的神明，也要怎樣在異地他鄉服侍外族人。』

你們去對岸的基提看看，派人去基達仔細觀察一下，看看有沒有這樣的事？雖然列國的神明根本不是真神，卻沒有一國更換自己的神明。但我的子民卻把自己榮耀的上帝換作了無用的假神。諸天啊，要因此而震驚戰慄、大感淒涼。這是耶和華說的。因為我的子民犯了兩項罪，他們離棄了我這活水源泉，為自己挖了不能蓄水的破池子。

你必因自己的罪惡而受懲罰，因自己的背叛而受責備。因此，你要省察且明白，背棄你的上帝耶和華、不敬畏我是多麼邪惡、痛苦。這是萬軍之耶和華說的。

必有人回答說，『因為這地方的人背棄了他們祖先的上帝耶和華領他們出埃及時與他們所立的約，去供奉、祭拜他們所不認識、並非耶和華所分派的神明。因此，耶和華向這片土地發怒，把這書上的一切咒詛都降在這裡。耶和華盛怒之下把他們從這地方連根拔起，扔到別的地方，正如今日的情形。』

「我必伸手攻擊猶大，以及所有住在耶路撒冷的人，剷除巴力的餘跡及拜偶像之祭司的名號。我必剷除那些在屋頂祭拜天上萬象的人，剷除敬拜我、憑我起誓又憑米勒公起誓的人，

「人子啊，當以色列人住在本土時，他們的惡行玷污了那裡，他們的行為在我眼中就像經期的婦女一樣污穢。他們殺人流血，祭拜偶像，玷污了那地方，所以我要把我的烈怒傾倒在他們身上，把他們驅散到列國，分散到列邦，照他們的行為報應他們。他們無論分散到何處，都使我的聖名受到褻瀆，因為外族人都談論他們說，『這些人是耶和華的子民，卻不得不離開耶和華的土地。』

敵人都幸災樂禍地譏諷你，他們咬牙切齒地說：「我們吞滅了她！這是我們期待已久的日子！我們終於見到這一天了！」耶和華實現了祂的計劃，成就了祂很久以前的應許。祂毫不留情地毀滅了你，使你的仇敵幸災樂禍，耀武揚威。

「當你把這些話告訴他們的時候，他們會質問你，『耶和華為什麼給我們降這大災難？我們有什麼罪？我們哪裡得罪了我們的上帝耶和華？』你要對他們說，『耶和華說，你們的祖先背棄我，去跟隨、供奉、祭拜別的神明；他們背棄我，不遵守我的律法。可是，你們的行為比他們更邪惡，一意孤行，不聽從我。所以，我要把你們從這裡驅逐到你們和你們祖先都不認識的地方，你們在那裡要日夜供奉別的神明，因為我不再恩待你們。』」

這都是因為她的先知和祭司的罪行。他們在城中殺害義人。他們如盲人在街上遊蕩，沾滿血污，無人敢碰他們的衣服。人們向他們喊道：「走開！你們是不潔的！走開！走開！不要靠近我們。」於是他們逃亡、流蕩，列國的人說：「他們不可住在我們這裡。」

敵人遇見他們，就吞噬他們，還說，『我們沒有錯！這是因為他們冒犯了他們真正的安歇之處——耶和華，他們祖先的盼望——耶和華。』

「我已離開我的殿，撇棄我的產業，把我愛的子民交給他們的敵人。我的子民像林中的獅子一樣向我吼叫，因此我憎惡他們；
