The priests then brought the ark of the Lord’s covenant to its place in the inner sanctuary of the temple, the Most Holy Place, and put it beneath the wings of the cherubim.

And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the vail of the covering, and covered the ark of the testimony; as the LORD commanded Moses.

O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest[ between] the cherubims, thou[ art] the God,[ even] thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.

And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that[ were] in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring up.

So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth[ between] the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas,[ were] there with the ark of the covenant of God.

The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth[ between] the cherubims; let the earth be moved.

And the cherubims spread out[ their] wings on high,[ and] covered with their wings over the mercy seat, with their faces one to another;[ even] to the mercy seatward were the faces of the cherubims.

And David arose, and went with all the people that[ were] with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the LORD of hosts that dwelleth[ between] the cherubims.

Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest[ between] the cherubims, shine forth.

And the sound of the cherubims’ wings was heard[ even] to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh.

And the cherubims shall stretch forth[ their] wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces[ shall look] one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which[ are] upon the ark of the testimony, of all[ things] which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
