“ Praise be to the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.

“ I praise the Lord. He has given peace and rest to his people Israel. That’s exactly what he promised to do. He gave his people good promises through his servant Moses. Every single word of those promises has come true.

“ Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant.

“ Praise the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the wonderful promises he gave through his servant Moses.

“ Blessed be the LORD! He has given rest to his people Israel according to all he has said. Not one of all the good promises he made through his servant Moses has failed.

「我快要走完人世的路程了。你們深知你們的上帝耶和華賜給你們的一切美好應許沒有一句落空，都已經應驗了。正如你們的上帝耶和華已成就祂應許給你們的一切福氣，如果你們違背祂，祂必照樣降各樣災禍給你們，直到把你們從祂所賜的這美好土地上毀滅。

耶和華照著給他們祖先的應許，使他們四境安寧，沒有仇敵能抵擋他們。耶和華將所有仇敵都交在了他們手中。耶和華給以色列人的美好應許沒有一句落空，全部實現了。

撒母耳漸漸長大，耶和華與他同在，使他所說的話沒有一句落空。

天地都要消逝，但我的話永不消逝。

祂憐憫我們的祖先，持守自己的聖約，就是祂對我們的先祖亞伯拉罕所起的誓，

但不久你們將渡過約旦河，定居在那片土地上。耶和華將使你們四境太平，安然居住，

等你們的上帝耶和華使其他以色列人和你們一樣有了安身之所，佔領了耶和華賜給他們的約旦河西之地後，你們才可以返回我分給你們的家園。』

祂扶助了自己的僕人以色列，祂要施憐憫給亞伯拉罕和他的子孫，直到永遠，正如祂對我們祖先的應許。」

正如上帝曾說：「我在憤怒中起誓說，『他們絕不可進入我的安息。』」但我們這些已經信的人能夠進入祂的安息。其實造物之工自創世以來就已經完成了，因為聖經論到第七日時說：「第七日，上帝歇了一切的工。」又說：「他們絕不可進入我的安息。」既然最終會有人進入安息，而那些從前聽過福音的人因為不信沒能進去，上帝就另定了一個日子，稱之為「今日」。正如多年後，祂藉著大衛說：「你們今日若聽見祂的聲音，不可心裡頑固。」如果當初約書亞已經讓他們得到了安息，上帝就不必另定一個日子了。這樣說來，必定另有一個安息日為上帝的子民存留，使他們可以真正安歇。

在那裡，你們和兒女、僕婢及同城中沒有分到土地作產業的利未人，要一起在你們的上帝耶和華面前歡喜快樂。

由此可知，耶和華對亞哈家的預言一句也沒有落空。耶和華藉祂僕人以利亞所說的一切都應驗了。」

他還在猶大修築堅城，那些年國中太平，沒有戰事，因為耶和華賜他平安。
