Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord, she came to test him with hard questions.She came to Jerusalem with a very great retinue, with camels that bore spices, very much gold, and precious stones; and when she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was in her heart.

And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet.Then the Spirit said to Philip,“ Go near and overtake this chariot.”So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said,“ Do you understand what you are reading?”And he said,“ How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.The place in the Scripture which he read was this:“ He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And as a lamb before its shearer is silent, So He opened not His mouth.In His humiliation His justice was taken away, And who will declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth.”So the eunuch answered Philip and said,“ I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?”Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said,“ See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?”

Isaiah 56:3-7
Do not let the son of the foreigner Who has joined himself to the Lord Speak, saying,“ The Lord has utterly separated me from His people”; Nor let the eunuch say,“ Here I am, a dry tree.”For thus says the Lord:“ To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant,Even to them I will give in My house And within My walls a place and a name Better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name That shall not be cut off.“ Also the sons of the foreigner Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants— Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And holds fast My covenant—Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices Will be accepted on My altar; For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria, was a great and honorable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the Lord had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper.And the Syrians had gone out on raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife.Then she said to her mistress,“ If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.”And Naaman went in and told his master, saying,“ Thus and thus said the girl who is from the land of Israel.”Then the king of Syria said,“ Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” So he departed and took with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold, and ten changes of clothing.Then he brought the letter to the king of Israel, which said, Now be advised, when this letter comes to you, that I have sent Naaman my servant to you, that you may heal him of his leprosy.And it happened, when the king of Israel read the letter, that he tore his clothes and said,“ Am I God, to kill and make alive, that this man sends a man to me to heal him of his leprosy? Therefore please consider, and see how he seeks a quarrel with me.”
