至於我，我決不停止為你們禱告，以致得罪耶和華；我要把善道正路教導你們。

耶和華啊！求你指示我你的道路；為我仇敵的緣故引導我走平坦的路。

耶和華這樣說：“你們要站在路上察看，尋訪遠古的路徑，看哪一條是美善的路，就走在其中；這樣，你們心裡就必得安息。他們卻說：‘我們不走在其中。’

過了許久，到第三年，耶和華的話臨到以利亞說：“你去在亞哈面前出現，我要降雨在地面上。”

耶和華啊！求你把你的道路指示我，求你把你的路徑教導我，求你以你的真理引導我，教訓我，因為你是拯救我的神；我整天等候的就是你。

列國虛無的偶像中，有可以降雨的嗎？天能自降甘霖嗎？耶和華我們的神啊！能夠這樣作的，不是只有你嗎？所以我們仰望你，因為這一切都是你所作的。

霎時之間，天空因風雲而變為黑暗，隨著降下大雨來。於是亞哈坐上了車，往耶斯列去了。

耶和華啊！你所管教，用律法教導的人，是有福的。

以利亞是與我們性情相同的人；他懇切祈求不要下雨，地上就三年零六個月沒有雨；他又祈禱，天就下雨，地就生出土產來。

必有多國的人前來說：“來吧！我們上耶和華的山，登雅各神的殿；他必把他的道路指示我們，我們也要遵行他的道；因為教訓必出於錫安。耶和華的話要來自耶路撒冷。

耶和華啊！求你把你的律例指教我，我必遵守到底。

到了中午，以利亞嘲笑他們，說：“大聲呼求吧，因為他是神，也許他正在默想，或事務繁忙，或正在旅行，或正在睡覺，你們要把他叫醒。”他們就大聲呼求，按著他們的規矩，用刀和槍刺自己，直到身體流血。中午過後，他們繼續狂呼亂叫，直到獻晚祭的時候；可是仍沒有聲音，沒有回應，也沒有理睬他們的。以利亞對眾人說：“你們走近我這裡來。”眾人就都走近他面前。他重修已經毀壞了的耶和華的祭壇。以利亞照著雅各子孫支派的數目，拿了十二塊石頭。（耶和華的話曾臨到雅各說：“你的名要叫以色列。”）以利亞奉耶和華的名用這些石頭築了一座壇，在壇的四周挖溝，可容十四公升種籽，然後把柴排好，又把公牛切成塊子，放在柴上，就說：“你們盛滿四桶水，倒在燔祭和柴上。”又說：“倒第二次。”他們就倒第二次；又說：“倒第三次。”他們就倒第三次。水流到祭壇的四周，甚至水溝裡也滿了水。到了獻晚祭的時候，以利亞先知近前來，說：“亞伯拉罕、以撒、以色列的神耶和華，求你今天使人知道你是在以色列中的神，我是你的僕人，又是奉你的命令行這一切事。耶和華啊，求你應允我，應允我！使這民知道你耶和華是神，又知道是你使這民的心再回轉過來的。”於是有耶和華的火降下來，吞滅了燔祭、木柴、石頭和塵土，連溝裡的水也燒乾了。眾人看見了，就面伏於地，說：“耶和華是神！耶和華是神！”以利亞對他們說：“捉住巴力的先知，一個也不要讓他們逃脫。”於是眾人捉住他們。以利亞帶他們下到基順河邊，在那裡殺了他們。

誰是那敬畏耶和華的人？耶和華必指示他應選擇的道路。

耶和華啊！求你因我仇敵的緣故，按著你的公義引導我，在我面前鋪平你的道路。

耶和華啊！求你把你的道路指教我，使我行在你的真理中，專心敬畏你的名。

我要教導你，指示你應走的路；我要勸戒你，我的眼睛看顧你。

耶和華是良善和正直的，因此他必指示罪人走正路。

那裡必有一條大路，要稱為“聖路”；不潔淨的人不能經過，那是為那些行走正路的人預備的；愚昧的人不會在路上留連。

求你使我清晨得聞你的慈愛，因為我倚靠你。求你指示我當走的路，因為我的心仰望你。

他們派了自己的門徒和希律黨的人一同去問耶穌：“老師，我們知道你為人誠實，照著真理把神的道教導人，不顧忌任何人，因為你不徇情面。

請為我們求耶和華你的神指示我們當走的路和該作的事。”

“你的子民因得罪了你，你懲罰他們，使天閉塞不下雨；如果他們向著這地方禱告，承認你的名，離開他們的罪，求你在天上垂聽，赦免你的僕人和你的子民以色列的罪，把他們當行的正道指教他們，降雨在你的地上，就是你賜給你的子民作產業的地上。

每當你偏左或偏右的時候，你必聽見後面有聲音說：“這是正路，要行在其中！”

神啊！你降下大雨，使你貧瘠的產業得到滋潤。
