如人獲罪於爾、使天閉塞、雨澤不降、至殿祈禱、呼籲爾名、緣遘患難、去厥罪愆、

如民獲罪於主、致天閉塞不雨、而在此處祈禱、認主之名、主罰之之後、悛悔罪惡、

“ When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because your people have sinned against you, and when they pray toward this place and give praise to your name and turn from their sin because you have afflicted them,

“当你的以色列子民因得罪你而败在敌人手中时，如果他们回心转意归向你，承认你的名，在这殿里祈祷，

否则，耶和华必向你们发怒，使天不下雨、地无出产，以致你们在祂赐给你们的佳美之地上迅速灭亡。

我要重挫你们的傲气，使你们头上的天如铁，脚下的地如铜。

迦得就来见大卫，对他说：“你愿意国内有七年饥荒呢？还是被敌人追杀三个月呢？还是国内发生三天瘟疫呢？请你考虑好后告诉我，我好回复那差我来的。”

事实上，在以利亚先知的时代，天干旱无雨达三年半之久，遍地有大饥荒。那时，以色列国有许多寡妇，

他们拥有权能，在传道期间可以关闭天空使雨不降在地上，又有权使水变成血，并随时用各样的灾祸击打世界。

“所以主耶和华说，‘以色列人啊，我必按你们各人的行为审判你们。你们要悔改，痛改前非，使你们不致死在罪恶中。你们要离弃从前所有的罪恶，洗心革面。以色列人啊！你们何必走向灭亡呢？’主耶和华说，‘我断不喜欢任何人死亡，你们要悔改，以便存活。’”

使外族人也因祂的怜悯而将荣耀归给上帝。正如圣经上说：“因此，我要在列邦中赞美你，歌颂你的名。”

有一位先知名叫以利亚，是基列的提斯比人。他对亚哈说：“我凭我事奉的以色列的上帝——永活的耶和华起誓，如果我不祷告，这几年必没有雨水和甘露。”

愿你昼夜看顾这殿——你应许立你名的地方！你仆人向着这地方祷告的时候，求你垂听。你仆人和你的以色列子民向这地方祈祷的时候，求你从你天上的居所垂听，赦免我们的罪。

你们举手祷告，我必掩面不理。即使你们祷告再多，我也不会听，因为你们双手沾满鲜血。你们要洗净自己，停止作恶，不要让我再看见你们的恶行。

祭司啊，穿着丧服痛哭吧；在祭坛前事奉的人啊，要哀号；我上帝的仆人啊，要披上麻衣过夜；因为再无素祭和奠祭献到你们上帝的殿中了。你们要定一个禁食的日子，举行庄严的聚会，召集全国的长老和人民，到你们的上帝耶和华的殿中，向耶和华呼求。太可怕了！耶和华的日子近了，那是全能者施行毁灭的日子。我们的粮食断绝了，我们上帝殿中的欢乐消失了。种子在土里腐烂，五谷干死，仓库荒废，谷仓被拆毁。牲畜哀鸣，牛群因找不到草场而四处乱窜，羊群也受苦。耶和华啊，我向你呼求，因为火焰吞灭了旷野的草场，烈火烧光了田野的树木。田野的走兽向你呼求，因为溪水已经枯干，火也烧尽了旷野的草场。

但以色列人没有归向万军之耶和华，也不寻求祂。

以色列啊，你被自己的罪恶绊倒了，归向你的上帝耶和华吧！

“人子啊，若有国家犯罪背叛我，我必伸手断绝他们的粮源，使饥荒遍地，毁灭人和牲畜。

“祂要使你们头顶的天如铜，脚下的地如铁。“祂要使雨水变为尘土，降在你们身上，直到你们灭亡。

你若口里承认耶稣是主，心里相信上帝使祂从死里复活，就必得救。

耶和华要为你们打开天上美好的仓库，使你们风调雨顺、凡事蒙福。你们必借贷给多国，却无需向别国借贷。

耶和华告诉耶利米有关旱灾的事：“犹大充满悲泣，她的城邑衰败，人人坐在地上痛哭，耶路撒冷哀鸣四起。贵族派仆人去水池打水，仆人去那里发现没有水，就带着空瓶垂头丧气、羞愧难当地回去了。天不下雨，土地干裂，农夫沮丧地抱着头。因为没有草，田野的母鹿抛弃了刚生下来的小鹿；因为没有草，野驴站在光秃的山头上像豺狼一样喘气，双目无神。”耶和华啊，虽然我们的罪控告我们，我们屡屡叛逆得罪你，求你为了自己的尊名而拯救我们。

万军之耶和华说：“你们要把当纳的十分之一全部送到我的仓库，使我的殿中有粮。你们这样试试，看我会不会为你们打开天上的窗户，把祝福倾倒给你们，直到无处可容。”

“当你的以色列子民因得罪你而败在敌人手中时，如果他们回心转意归向你，承认你的名，在这殿里祈祷，

要在锡安山吹响号角，宣布禁食的日子，举行庄严的聚会。要招聚老人，聚集孩童，包括吃奶的婴儿；要吩咐新郎出洞房、新娘出内室；要召集全体人民，让他们洁净自己。让事奉耶和华的祭司站在圣殿门廊和祭坛中间，哭泣恳求说：“耶和华啊，求你顾惜你的子民，不要让外族人侮辱、讥笑你的产业说，‘你们的上帝在哪里呢？’”
