所許之言曰、自耶和華導以色列民、出埃及以來、迄於今日、未嘗於以色列支派中、遴選一邑、使人建殿、為籲名之所、惟簡大闢、治理我民。

自我導我民以色列出伊及以來、未曾於以色列諸支派中選一邑、使人為我名建殿、惟選大衛治理我民以色列、

‘ Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city in any tribe of Israel to have a temple built so that my Name might be there, but I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.’

‘ I brought my people Israel out of Egypt. Ever since, I haven’t chosen a city in any tribe of Israel where a temple could be built for my Name. But I have chosen David to rule over my people Israel.’

‘ Since the day that I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I chose no city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house, that my name might be there. But I chose David to be over my people Israel.’

‘ From the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have never chosen a city among any of the tribes of Israel as the place where a Temple should be built to honor my name. But I have chosen David to be king over my people Israel.’”

“ Since the day I brought my people Israel out of Egypt, I have not chosen a city to build a temple in among any of the tribes of Israel, so that my name would be there. But I have chosen David to rule my people Israel.”

‘ Since the day that I brought My people Israel from Egypt, I did not choose a city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a house so that My name would be there, but I chose David to be over My people Israel.’

永恆主對撒母耳說：『我棄絕了掃羅做以色列的王，你為他悲傷要到幾時呢？把你的角盛滿了膏油吧！來，我差遣你到伯利恆人耶西那裏去，因為我在他的兒子當中已經看定了一個作王的。』

但是那一天夜裏、永恆主的話傳與拿單說：『你去對我僕人大衛說：「永恆主這麼說：你要建殿給我居住麼？因為自從我領以色列人從埃及上來那一天、到今日，我都未曾住過殿；我乃是在帳棚帳幕裏往來的。我在以色列眾人中間往來、無論甚麼地方、我何曾向以色列士師中哪一位我所委任來牧養我人民以色列的，說：『你們為甚麼不給我建造香柏木的殿呢？』」現在你要對我僕人大衛這樣說：「萬軍之永恆主這麼說：我將你從羊圈中、從趕羊羣的事上選取了來，讓你做人君來管理我人民以色列。

願你的眼睜開着、晝夜看顧這殿，看顧你所說你的名要臨在的聖地；願你聽你僕人向這聖地所發的禱告。

然而永恆主以色列的上帝在我父全家揀選了我做王永遠管理以色列；因為他揀選了猶大做人君；在猶大家他揀選了我父的家；在我父的兒子裏他喜悅了我，立我做王來管理以色列眾人；

那時你們就必須有一個地方、是永恆主你們的上帝所選擇、做他名之居所的地方；你們要將我所吩咐你們獻的：燔祭、和別的祭物、十分之一獻物、和手奉的提獻物、以及一切最好的還願祭、就是你們所許願獻與永恆主的、都帶到那地方。

因為自從我領以色列人上來那一天、到今日，我都未曾住過殿；我乃是從帳棚到帳棚、從帳幕到帳幕往來的。我在以色列眾人中間往來、無論甚麼地方、我何曾向以色列士師中哪一位、我所委任來牧養我人民的、說：『你們為甚麼不給我建造香柏木的殿呢？』」

因為永恆主揀選了錫安，願意它做自己的幕所：他說：

永恆主說：『我也必遷徙猶大人離開我面前，像我遷徙以色列人一樣；我必棄絕我從前所選擇的這城耶路撒冷、和我所說到我名必在那裏的殿。』

他揀選了大衛做他的僕人，從羊圈中選取了他，

不，永恆主你們的上帝從你們眾族派中選擇了甚麼地方做立他名的所在，你們就要到那地方、訪問他的居所；

你們若回轉來歸向我，謹守遵行我的誡命，那你們被趕散的人即使在天邊，我也必從那裏將他們招集回來，將他們帶到我所選擇使我名居住的地方。」

把一個族派給他兒子，好使我的僕人大衛在耶路撒冷、我所選擇做立我名的城裏、在我面前、日日不斷地有燈光。

當時你在異象中對你堅貞之民說：『我已經給一個英雄加了冕；我舉起了一位從民間所揀選的。我尋得了我的僕人大衛，用我的聖膏膏了他；

「自從我領我人民出埃及地的日子以來、我都未曾從以色列眾族派中選擇一座城來建殿，讓我的名長在那裏；我也未曾揀選一個人作人君來管理我人民以色列；我只選擇了耶路撒冷，讓我的名長在那裏；又揀選了大衛來管理我人民以色列。」我父親大衛心裏原有意思要為永恆主以色列之上帝的名建殿。永恆主卻對我父親大衛說：「你心裏有意思要為我的名建殿，你心裏這意思固然好；但不是你可以建殿的，乃是你兒子、從你自己腰腎中生出的、他才可以為我的名建殿。」現在永恆主已經實行了他所說過的話；我已經起來接替了我父親大衛、坐以色列的王位，照永恆主所說過的，我已經為了永恆主以色列之上帝的名建了殿了。我也將約櫃立在殿中；在櫃中並且有永恆主的約、他同以色列人所立的。』

你請到我的地方，就是那在示羅的，我起先使我的名居住的所在，去察看我因我人民以色列的邪惡對那地所行的怎麼樣。
