So Ahab went home, sullen and angry because Naboth the Jezreelite had said,“ I will not give you the inheritance of my ancestors.” He lay on his bed sulking and refused to eat.

So Ahab went home. He was angry. He was in a bad mood because of what Naboth from Jezreel had said. He had told Ahab,“ I won’t give you the land my family handed down to me.” So Ahab lay on his bed. He was in a very bad mood. He wouldn’t even eat anything.

And Ahab went into his house vexed and sullen because of what Naboth the Jezreelite had said to him, for he had said,“ I will not give you the inheritance of my fathers.” And he lay down on his bed and turned away his face and would eat no food.

So Ahab went home angry and sullen because of Naboth’s answer. The king went to bed with his face to the wall and refused to eat!

Woe to him that getteth an evil gain for his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the hand of evil!Thou hast devised shame to thy house, by cutting off many peoples, and hast sinned against thy soul.For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and establisheth a city by iniquity!

Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this also is vanity and a striving after wind.

And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death.

But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was angry.
