很多人求掌权者的情面，但各人的判决是出于耶和华。

即或不然，王啊！你要知道，我们决不事奉你的神，也不向你所立的金像下拜。”当时尼布甲尼撒向沙得拉、米煞和亚伯尼歌大发烈怒，连脸色也变了，吩咐人把窑烧热，比平常猛烈七倍。又吩咐他军队中几个最精壮的士兵，把沙得拉、米煞和亚伯尼歌绑起来，扔在烈火的窑中。于是这三个人穿着外袍、长裤、头巾和身上其他的衣服，被绑起来，扔在烈火的窑中。由于王的命令紧急，窑又烧得非常猛烈，那些把沙得拉、米煞和亚伯尼歌抬起来的人，都被火焰烧死了。而沙得拉、米煞和亚伯尼歌这三个人仍被绑着，落入烈火的窑中。那时尼布甲尼撒王非常惊奇，急忙起来，问他的谋臣说：“我们绑起来扔在火里的，不是三个人吗？”他们回答王说：“王啊！是的。”王说：“但我见有四个人，并没有绑着，在火中走来走去，也没有受伤，并且那第四个的样貌好像神子。”

“你们审判的时候，不可行不义；不可偏袒穷人，也不可偏帮有权势的人；只要按着公义审判你的邻舍。

众人要杀害撒迦利亚，于是照着王的命令，在耶和华殿的院子里用石头把他打死。

以法莲受欺压，被审判压碎；因为他们乐意随从人的命令。

你跟随了暗利的规例和亚哈家一切所行的，顺从了他们的计谋；因此，我必使你荒凉，使你（“你”原文作“她”）的居民被嗤笑；你们也必担当我民的羞辱。

王就对侍立在他周围的卫兵说：“你们转过去，把耶和华的祭司杀死，因为他们与大卫携手，又因为他们知道大卫逃跑，也不告诉我。”但王的臣仆不愿下手杀害耶和华的祭司。

“不可传播谣言，也不可与恶人携手作假见证。不可随众行恶，不可在诉讼的事上随众说歪曲正义的话；

于是耶户写第二封信给他们说：“如果你们是归从我，听我的话的，就要把你们主人的儿子们的头颅取下，明天大约这个时候，带来耶斯列给我。”那时，王的七十个儿子是住在抚养他们的城中的大臣那里。这信到达他们那里的时候，他们就拿住王的众子，把这七十人杀了，然后把他们的头放在篮子里，送到耶斯列耶户那里。

彼得和约翰回答：“听从你们过于听从神，在神面前对不对，你们自己说吧！

但是，接生妇却敬畏神，不照着埃及王吩咐她们的去作，竟让男孩活着。

后来他们在梦中得着指示不要回到希律那里去，就从别的路回乡去了。
